Well done on the money, bloody good news and well deserved.Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Great news re the savings, I'm sure with your motivation you will do it.
I don't blame you for hiding the shampoo, I used to do the same when the children were home. In fact I used to do the same when I was a child as I had 2 sisters and a naughty brother who would nick your stuff just for the sake of it. We never had much, so if we had our own luxuries it was so rare that you wanted to keep it to yourself. :rotfl: sounds kind of selfish but we all did it.
Plus Ne4ls Yard is amazing. I've even considered becoming a consultant for them doing party plan.
Hope you are feeling better today and happy new hair cut xTargets

Hey you!
I am so with you on hiding the shampoo. I have started buying nice looking bottles and potions from the 99p store, which I keep *out* where Him borrows them (yep seriously) and also puts them on Jellytot when he thinks her hair needs a bit of upkeep. And keep my specials in the cupboard for me. On the plus side, the 99p stuff is actually very good! :rotfl:
Feel for you re: endo. I was diagnosed when I was 19 after struggling since I was 14! I have an op every couple of years to clear it out. The worst thing they ever put me on was a prostate cancer drug called Goserelin. A monthly injection with a pencil like needle into my stomach. I too have struggled with every pill, and especially the depo. I am not saying the implant is perfect. I get the odd dizzy spell, blacked out a few times when I first had it. But overall it is so much better! I really only had it as a contraceptive at the height of my marriage issues, as I was frightened of the effect of getting pregnant accidentally. Pleased now though. TMI sorry!
I have seen your mail, sorry will respond shortly!! Not been around

Well done on the money, bloody good news and well deserved.Think I can call Mon/Tues for results. Am not expecting anything to come from it. This sort of thing always happens to me and there is no reason for it  perhaps it's just stress or something but whatever it is it feels awful having no energy and headaches all the time so i wish it would bargger off

Well I had a pretty good day yesterday all in all. I still had that dizziness & nagging headache but to be honest, after a few weeks of it you kind of get used to it being there and just get on with it
! I managed to stay awake for a dvd last night and I also had my hair cut which made me feel better and it was a total bargain! I paid £14 for me, ds2 & dd and she took so much time making sure the kids were done properly (because they kept wriggling!) that I was expecting her to charge more  very happy with that!
I went to bed happy and woke up a misery again :rotfl:
It was thunder & lightening at 5am until 9am and so I didn't get much sleep. Then we had to be at the footie practice i'd signed the two smaller ones up to, well it was chucking it down and freezing. The rain cleared at around 9.40 at which point both kids walked off the pitch declaring they'd had enough and wanted to go home . Oh I was fuming! Why hadn't they decided that 2 mins after getting there and we could have gone home dry rather than wet and I could have probably saved myself the money too. Thankfully it was only £4 for both today so we paid and went. They got a proper telling off though as DD had acted like a total spoilt bratty diva and I hate attitude like that!
We got home to find a man on our doorstep declaring that he'd bought our blue car (remember that one?!) that we had scrapped! He was a mechanic and had fixed it up with second hand parts. Well I felt like he was just rubbing salt into the wound really, we basically gave him the car (he owned the scrap yard) and then he turned up to tell us we hadn't ever registered it in our name. After explaining we only had it a few days he seemed pacified with that and said he would just fill in his details and send off and then proceeded to tell DH all about how cheap he'd fixed it for because he could do it himself.. I'm happy for him (well no i'm not really....) but did he have to tell us all that after DH had just said we lost £750 on it. A few not nice names sprung to mind so I kept inside out of the way! Logged onto bank after neglecting for a couple of days and i'm again overdrawn but £25
its all because i'd been feeling sick and hadn't done the daily banking moving bills money across. So luckily no overspends really just me being unorganised!
So i'm sat in the warmth now, telling myself how good things are and trying to remember all the positives in my life and only when I feel i've remembered some am I allowed to talk to anyoneI don't think I can trust myself otherwise!

Ahh thanks Granny back atcha :grouphug:. I think i'm just so over-tired I've turned into an over-sized toddler having a tantrum! We've had a chilled out afternoon though (aside from having to referee the kids fighting a few times!) and we are planning on having our weekly fake-away and then having a stroll around the zoo as they're doing their night time feeds etc tonight. It will be the last thing I put on the CC this month and am hoping to pay it back with tenancy money when it comes through and it will be for a yearly pass for 4 of us (ds1 doesn't want one) so lots of free visits after.
I wonder just how far that tenancy money can stretch......i've spent it 10 times over already:rotfl:

Afternoon!
Well I am feeling more human-like today. I have been in a bit of a fog all weekend again, feeling very down mainly because of how tired I am . DH did nothing to help my mood either as he sulked about all weekend doing things and I ended up screaming at him yesterday asking exactly what his problem waswe're hardly talking now. I am fed up of hearing about how bad his life is. He hates his job, hates that he can't spend his wages as he pleases, hates that he can't go out drinking with friends all the time, go on all the trips his friends are on, hates it that his wife doesn't want to lie in bed with him all day long, I could go on. He's making me miserable in the process of him constantly sulking. I didn't even bother to tell him i'd gone to the Dr's the other day because i'd got home and he was moaning about his knee. Good lord man!!! He's driving me insane!!! Any ideas on what I can do with him!! I think he needs the Agnus Castus more than I do :rotfl:
SO today he's back at work thankfully so i've cleaned the house and painted a few things that needed doing (chairs I neglected over the summer after doing the exact amount we needed for our family and leaving the rest) they just need varnishing later and all done (finally!!). I spent a good portion of my day yesterday having a clear out of my wardrobe. I threw away 2 bags of clothes that were out of shape/ too small/too big etc and made yet MORE room for Dh's clothes. He already takes up 2/3 of our wardrobe with his clothes, kit for work and he has a tall boy and now 3 drawers in my cupboard that I had claimed as mine because I had no room in my wardrobe. So let's see how long it is before he gives up on putting things in their place and it's all over the floor again. I swear it's like I have 2 teenage boys in the house not one.
I've also popped to the co-op for some milk, almond milk and a few other essentials (£6.50) and am trying to eek out going shopping for as long as I can. I have lentils, beans, pasta, rice and sauces in the cupboard. Am sure I can rustle something up for at least tonight. Tax credits are due tomorrow. They will be used to get shopping/petrol and pay back all the funds i've borrowed from (not nearly enough though unfortunately!) I've had a few big spends this month and although I feel lucky enough to have had the money to pay for them outright I am really feeling the pinch when I log on to my bank and many accounts and lots are sitting at nearly zero
! It's quite scary so I need to rectify this immediately!
Money that needs covering:
£300 from one account
£300 from another account
£150 on to CC.
I've bought zoo tickets (£146 I think?), phone line for the year (£225), rainbows for the term & some charity thing they are doing (£30), Prescription card (£30), Haircuts/shampoo/face cream (£50), swimming (£175), photography deposit for November (£25). Lots of spends there some small but all added together are rather a lot! £681 overspend on what I had budgeted! I know some of it was budgeted for (swimming, prescription card, hair cuts and face cream, rainbows) but it's an awful lot to come from my pots at once and it's made me feel a little  to be honest! So instead of sending a lot of this money due in over the next few days to the ISA I am going to build a few pots back up for peace of mind. I can easily get to this money if needed and all these little pots added up I guess are my contingency fund in case of an emergency! So tomorrow I will put £100 into the rental fund (where a lot of money was borrowed from) £100 into emergency fund and keep hold of the rest for food & petrol. I am hoping the tenancy money goes in very soon too so I can allocate that money too to more funds! Must be thankful though that I have paid for it all cash (money put on CC will be paid off today from a fund. I would rather pay back my fund in my own time than an interest adding CC!)
Phew That was long sorry. I do like to get my thoughts about money/finances/budgeting out in here though. You're the only ones who listen and are interested in the slightest :rotfl:
Right off to do the banking and ynab (which is still out by 30 quid and i've no idea why :wall: ) and I will be back !Mortgage Overpayments 2024/25 - September-December, £152.46. J- £103.27, F- £115, M- £91.50, A- £100, M- £200, J- £200. J- £200. A-£200, S- £221.34. O-£200EF- £642.41/500
