Still can't find the missing money from ynab to the current account so have just printed off all the statements for accounts i've used/borrowed from this month and will reconcile them all later and hopefully find the missing link as it's really bugging me
I've done my meter readings and logged on to flow to put them in. It's a much easier process than the last company I was with, I could never find the right link on their web page to do it. "my account" on flow says the next DD is due on the 16th October though not this week as I thought? That's confused me so I will just wait and see, money is put aside for it anyway. I am £8.75 in credit :T but will check back in a few days to see if that is still the same once the readings are logged and processed.
Kids are at after school club so I will leave around 3.30 I think to get yet more cash out to pay for yet more kid's clubs! At least the football one is off now so saves me £32 in my budget
Oops forgot to add i've paid off the cc now so that's at zero and I just have funds to try and add toAt least we have zoo tickets now for the next year so whilst we are poor we can at least have free days out :rotfl:

WOW you have more patience than me!!! He sounds a carbon copy of Him, pre and post break-up although much better recently. The wife laying in bed with hubby all day one is PRECISELY what happens in my house. Never mind I have to get up, go to work, get Jellytot sorted for nursery & make lunches, all pre 7:50am. - I blow up on a regular basis!
Hope you had a nice day and I am glad you have the zoo tickets!we have been 4 times so far, and they don't run out until next May! It is defo a cheap day out, if you take your own food. That is where they always try to get us. £8 for a jacket potato and one filling? £1 extra if you want salad aka a bit of tomato and a green leaf.
Meter readings sound intriguing. Which company are you with? Do you pay a variable amount or a monthly DD? And is it cheaper your way if you don't do the DD? I'm just switching suppliers, if they ever get their finger out and do so... Yay for being in credit. The new Ofgem rules have applied to my bill mid August. I got a refund of all the credit I had built up for winter, and with it, a £20 increase in my monthly billing amount to cover it. Even though they had just paid me £172... Sometimes these meddlers don't know what they are doing at all.

I'm with a relatively new energy company which I found on here (there is a link up above somewhere to the energy club) and I got cash back for joining so I thought i'd give them a go. The switch was done very quickly compared to other companies (and over 13 yrs i've been with all of them :rotfl: loose women sprung to mind there haha). I've had a couple of refunds this year and don't think that my usage is anywhere near what I pay every month but I will leave it to build now because obviously after the heating goes on <after November 1st> It will be more expensive then. Their website is very easy to use but that could be because they are newish ?? So yes I also pay by DD and it's currently £81 for gas & elec, which should work out about right once the heating goes on I guess. I just like to submit meter readings so my bill is based on actual usage rather than estimate! With the old supplier I found it really hard to do
could have just been me being blonde though (even though i'm brunette :rotfl:)!

Morning!
Home start visit today, we had to swap days as i've got a volunteer meeting on Thursday my usual day. Meaning in one way or another I will be doing home start stuff 3 days this week. Not quite sure how I feel about this considering I don't get paid :undecided
It's playing more and more on my mind about getting a job recently and having some independance. Thing is child care is so expensive here and there is such a high demand childminders seem to charge over the top. I can't rely on my dh as he is basically married to the army first and me second
. And he's also going away next month for weeks on end to Canada (lucky him huh). I am thinking I will just have to wait until I move next year, but on the other hand if I had a job paying me money then I could save properly without DH hindering my attempts as he does now. I've kind of borrowed myself out to HS for the next year though so would hate to let them down. Hmmmm.
Anyway today I got some money in, tax credits. I have put £100 in a fund I borrowed from (to buy the line rental) and £60 into another that I also borrowed from!. I'm due £9.70 cashback tomorrow that will go to ISA as it's extra to what I was expecting on the budget. I have £100 sat in the account for petrol and food until next Tuesday. I'm hoping to spend less and put some across to savings but not sure if I will be able to so will just wait until the day before pay day before tidying accounts up.
Last night I paid for the rainbows for the term so I will just start saving up for that again from next month's wages. January will be another September I think so I mustn't take my eye off the ball on at least having enough savings to pay for all the kids clubs. It's not fair they go without.
I've also been asking the kids what they might be asking santa fordoing my homework early :rotfl: and DD wants a bike & a few smaller bits and DS2 wants everything transformers from the argos catalogue (no way!) so will have to work on him a little more I think but I can start shopping for DD as and when I see bargains now :T.
Right best go, school run & then HS home visit which I do actually really look forward to as sadly enough she's about the only person I see all week to talk toMortgage Overpayments 2024/25 - September-December, £152.46. I've heard whispers about Argos starting their 3 for 2 toys very soon if that helps at allXxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Oooh Lucky you're a goldmine! My nieces & nephews all want money or clothing/make-up.
£90 for Xmas gone !!!!!!, and the two older ones have bday Nov & 23rd Dec... So another £40-50 there. Still Argos is great for Jelly/friends kids.
DFW - we do indeed have similar men, however the one difference is that mine is more than happy to be as tight as a ducks... nethers. Except when it comes to the £400 PS4 on release date, with 3 games at £40-50 each back then, and 4 new games this season at £150+. Those costs he doesn't blink at. If I come home with a bar of chocolate when I went to the shop for milk mind you, you would think I had bought a Mercedes. :rotfl: - I'm glad I have learned I don't need him. I keep him as a pet and he is useful.. :rotfl: so evil! I love him thoughin equal measure to wanting to throttle him.
Ref getting a job and balancing childcare, you're right, it is extortionate. I was paying £63 for 13 hours... - I am lucky Him and I do opposite shifts. Also that I qualify for the funding for 15 hours free for 2 year olds since September! If I wanted to go back to work full time, I was looking at £4500 in total for childcare over a year. Ended up earning less than my current 3 days a week...
Is there something you are good at you could maybe do from home? It does kind of take the social aspect out of working, but my sis spent years phoning customers to book in garage services from home, around my nephews nap times etc.
I don't envy you the army wife lifestyle... Always swore I would never marry a man in the army. I don't have the cojones! Must be hard sometimes, but then again, a break from him sounds like it might be good from time to time!
Well done really on getting debt-free with him not helping!and on keeping savings!

Hi DFW,
How about a job working term time and round the kids?
I really have no idea what to get my kids for Christmas. It doesn't help that their birthdays are both so close to Christmas too!!! Well done you on getting organised xxMummytogirls x0 -
Hi DFW- as you know i also sypathise with you over our OH's. Finding a job is hard to fit around the kids here and if a job does come up there are so many other mums that go for it. Might find that with the extra lunches the schools are doing now they might be looking for more staff to cover?
I think you have done really well in getting debt free - dispite of OH not really healping - and i am sure you will do well in saving for your new home - you are already doing so well.
I have finished birthday shopping for my 3 as birthdays in sept oct and nov. Not yet started on their xmas pressies yet and have no ideas at all. I got some cheap transformers on the argos page on ebay as they must have been the last few of everything but were very reasonably priced. Also asda last night had a few others so got 1 more to put towards DS's pressies. Just hope he doesnt change his mind now before oct lolMe, DD1 20, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/190 -
Hi DFW,
Good idea about asking the kiddies about what they may want from Santa.
This will be my first year where I ACTUALLY have money saved up and can officially afford Christmas :T:o. So maybe I could do the same and try to get a heads up on what they may want so I can look out for some bargains.
For the last couple of years the kids just got whatever was in the toy section of my L1ttlewoods Catalogue, will be such a nice change to be able to shop around for bargains.
Sorry to hear your Dh is being a moody *&$#. My hubby can be the same and totally out of the blue too. Hubby often tries to "Out Mood" me. If I am in a bad mood, he seems to have to trump me and get in an even bigger mood than me, so I end up trying to cheer him up rather than him cheering me up.
Sorry annoying .
Oh well hopefully he has snapped out of it now. sometimes they don't realise how good they actually have it!!.
