Not confirmed yet but they've cleared out their garden of a trampoline, table and chairs set and tonnes of toys so unless they're buying all new I sincerely hope that this means they are going soon! :rotfl:brizzledfw wrote: »Just catching up...sorry haven't been about...but GREAT news re neighbours...is it confirmed yet??
Well done on eeking things out..excellent strategy

Wow i've felt so ill today
not felt like this in a long time. I still have a raging headache and feeling sick but thankfully it's a Saturday and DH had the day off work. After I fed the kids and he got up I went back to bed until after lunch, only woken because DS1 was making a huge racket in his bedroom!! Got through the afternoon propped up on the sofa but am ready for bed again now
Just about to check what's on at the cinema for DS2's birthday on Tuesday because if there is nothing good we will probably go tomorrow instead. I hope everyone has had a nice day and the sun is still shining. It's gone a bit grey here but is welcomed by me to be honest as I haven't watered my flowers today

Thank you all I'm back to full health this morning :j Unfortunately DS2 has come down with it though...one day before his birthday . It's raining here today so we will have a quiet day in whilst I make his cake and wrap his presents and hopefully he will be well again by tomorrow
No more savings to be done this month I don't think which is a shame but that's how it goes I guess. I would have had £50 extra but ds1 needed a new fan for his room and we needed a new bike pump so that extra has gone on that. Suppose at least it won't need to come out of next month's budget.
Neighbours have been packing all weekend so hopefully it won't be long now
. I walked the dog last night and found £10 on the floor :j:j I've put it aside for a nice bottle of something bubbly when they finally go  (there needs to be a wine-clinking-smiley!)
.
Postie has just come and he's brought DS1's NI number :eek::eek: he's not 16 for another 3 months  I feel old now...I remember getting my card through the post!Mortgage Overpayments 2024/25 - September-December, £152.46. Morning! SOrry I cross-posted with you
I hope everything is well with you xx
DS2 seems fine on calpol so i'm thinking even if he is a bit sickly tomorrow I can just give him a dose before we head out. We had planned on a cinema trip anyway so thankfully it wasn't an action packed day and if the rain is still here it doesn't matter either!pennywisepoundstupid wrote: »Fingers crossed DS is better for his birthday tomorrow.

I was out in the garden taking clothes in from the line yesterday and I could hear packing tape being used across the fence so this made me
lots. I just hope it's soon that they are actually going and that they aren't super organised and are packing months in advance :rotfl::eek: Mortgage Overpayments 2024/25 - September-December, £152.46. Hello!
DS2 was fine for his birthday so we went to the cinema
The film seemed to drag to me but the kids and DH enjoyed it, I think the fact it was as cold as the arctic may have had something to do with it. I felt the cold more so as I was in shorts & a vest top  It was boiling outside but now with hindsight I wish I'd dressed more appropriately for the (always) freezing cold cinema
Pay day came yesterday and because DH has worked a way a fair bit last month there was extra
I bought some cushions with it and saved the rest :rotfl:. I've had a good play around with the budget trying to squeeze as much fun money as possible in to it as well as pay for the upcoming dreaded MOT & service
i have £500 put aside for that now so we will see if it is enough.....I hope it's less but am not hopeful. We need to pay for the Tax next month too (end of sept) so really am struggling to keep on top of putting enough money away in time all because of that stoooopid dud car we bought . Hopefully by end of the year this will have all rectified itself in the budgets and i'll be on track again!
In other news: I found my first grey hair this morning
Not feeling too happy about that!
In Neighbourly news: They've put their car up for sale....surely they will be gone before the kids go back to school???? I really don't fancy seeing her each day yet again on our way to and from school (fingers crossed everyone please!)
Ok I best go I was in the middle of summoning energy to make lunch & bread  Hope everyone is well and enjoying what ever weather you may have
