  • I've just had to get the recycling bin AGAIN from the end of the garden! It's full of glass and tins and really quite heavy so I don't know why it is being lifted so much  it's starting to freak me out lol. I saw something about New york having a storm earlier wondering if it's travelled across the Atlantic to us on the south east? Hope it dies down soon where you are slm otherwise will your DH not be able to work?

Varnished the chair once need to leave it for 2 hours before re-doing so think that might be it for the night now xx

  • we're 40 mins from Felixstowe (according to G00gle...i've only been once and can't remember how long it took lol) so that must be why we've had it bad too. Rubbish! I wanted to finish the gardening tomorrow, i'm half expecting there to be nothing left in my garden by then though lol. It's been pitch black since around 9pm too which is early wonder if we're in for a storm?!

  • Afternoon :)

Penny weather is like Autumn verging on Winter, around Halloween sort of time it reminds me of. Grey, cold, drizzly with rain and generally quite miserable  to think we were having a heat wave last week :rotfl: Only in England hey! Slm it had best return before the kids break up hey or else we'll have to think of exciting things to do that don't cost money (and forego the picnics, beach trips, park trips which are all free free free!)

Well today I am trying to carry on with the positives in life:
1- DH found his lost mobile phone :j
    2- I have a messy house today and yet I don't currently care :D
3- I left Duke for 3 hours to go to meditation group and he's been kissing me and cuddling up to me ever since I got home :smileyhea I'm feeling very loved :D
    4- DH & DS1 are coming home today :j
5- I have money in my bank (albeit's only £14.46 :rotfl:)

I've got my volunteering to do tomorrow so I will try and get the house clean in the afternoon and also ask DH to help me take my dresser & table apart. Then I will have something to keep me busy over the weekend should the bad weather continue :) I need to remember to hand in my expenses for HS tomorrow also and question where the last lot went  I'm wondering if I gave them the wrong bank details

Hope everyone is ok and has better weather than us here in the East  Definitely no need for sunglasses here today :rotfl: xx

  • Hope the weathers better and your having a nice weekend :)
    Time to start again :o
  • Thanks all :)

Well the weekend was really busy, parties, swim lessons, trips to town, gardening, housework ....i'm pleased it's Monday again :rotfl: Well I was pleased until I got up this morning and realised I had tonnes to do today as well! I went round 3 supermarkets this morning and I'm not a fan of food shopping as it is  I finally found some fondant icing sugar (clearly it's not very popular!) and I now need to make the birthday cake for tomorrow (nothing like leaving it to the last minute eh :D ) I've booked a table at F&B's and they said it was ok to bring a birthday cake in so that's all sorted :T. Wrapped most presents at the weekend but need to put one main present together later and then wrap. That pressie as well as a few others are for both DD & DS2 together as I know they will both play with them and I wasn't going to buy two of the same thing .

Sun is finally back here today :j so i've got a wash out and I will attempt to do another one before tomorrow and get it hung out overnight. I'm still no further on painting/sanding because of the bad weather (I like to do as much as I can in the garden because of dust and fumes!).

Spends this weekend were more than I'd planned but not disastrous. Food shop today was £100 which was £10 over what I had in mind but I have bought enough food to last hopefully 8 or 9 days. I just hope the fresh stuff lasts....all the apples, satsumas, peppers etc are soaking in white vinegar and water now to help preserve them as well as clean them :). I handed in expenses for HS again this morning and questioned the last lot. The lady in charge of putting them through has been on holiday so hopefully I did nothing wrong and it will all go through ok

Wow 2pm already! Best go and do a few more jobs I suppose before school run. Take care all :)
