  • Just had to buy YNAB as it wouldn't let me on! I had forgotten my trial was due to end (argh, cue me panicking!) Used a referral code though and saved $6 and hoping someone will use my referral code so I can get some money back too as it was full price today to buy (boooo)

In other news money went on the credit card to pay for DD's birthday treat meal which she loved, especially when the waiters sang happy birthday to her :D Will pay that back next week when my money is due in from tenants!

Best run as battery on laptop is dying!
Referral code for YNAB: http://ynab.refr.cc/WF6FP32 (will save you $6) will try and post elsewhere tomorrow in case none of my readers need it :D xx

    Hi DFw, :hello:

    Just catching up. :)
Gosh you're like Lucky; busy busy busy.. Well done for keeping everything running smoothly! :T

Belated Happy Birthday to DD. :) :bdaycake:
  • Thanks Lucky :)
Abba I think now we've taken her once she's going to want it every year too  best start saving!
Hello back SA *waves* hope you and Mr SA are well I will try and catch up on you very soon
Robin, hoping next week is quieter I feel like I haven't stopped all week!

Well DD's birthday is out of the way and now we're on countdown to DS2's birthday! I have everything bought for him already just need some wrapping paper (think he might have something to say about me using the leftover pink wrapping paper that DD had :D ) also need to make him a cake closer to the time but I will worry about that next weekend

I've just rung v1rgin media about my contract- wanting to see when it ends- and i've still got nearly 3 months left on it :( thought for some reason it ended in the holidays so not too happy with that. Never mind. I will look about between now and then for a good freeview box and maybe budget for it :rotfl: rather than panicking last minute about where I will nick money from to pay for it :o I will also look around for cheap n3tflix / l0vefilm deals to use with the tv and cheaper broadband and phone line. ATM I may between £60-70 a month on this v1rgin package  it's not the basic-ist of packages but it's also not the very best of any of them (mediocre tv package bundle, ok phone and ok broadband) so i'm not impressed and would rather that money in my pocket. I am also cancelling my mobile package when that finishes in November so in a few months time I will have £100+ between the two extra. After paying out for new broadband, mobile and telephone lines I hope to pocket at least £50 of that £100 saving per month (or am I asking too much and things really are that expensive now   )

Today I am taking DH to A&E he's done something to his ankle and he wants to make sure it's not broken, he did it whilst doing sports and will be off the rugby team if he has :( so hoping it's ok :) Will also take kids to the library to sign up for the summer reading challenge as it's wet and grey out today. We had a fantastic thunder & lightening storm last night / early this morning! It woke DH & I up and we were listening for hours (couldn't get back to sleep if we tried!)...air is much clearer today :). I also need to buy food waste bags for recycling but aside from that spends should be zilch! I'm pretty broke until money comes in on Monday anyway. I've messed up my budget somehow with ynab but not sure how!? All the figures tally right with the bank account so I will leave it as I have no idea what i've done and try and watch some more tutorials I think and start again fresh in August

I also signed the kids up to change4life summer challenge called the 10 minute shake up. You can apply on line if you have primary age kids and they send you free things, thought it might be good for rainy days/bored kids! http://bddy.me/1mdosp7 is the link!

I've also decided to make a list of things to do/places we'd like to visit before the end of the hols as I always forget and then don't have time to do them! Kids break up on Tuesday so I will try and do it before they finish for the year and work out costs so I can budget accordingly :).

Had best go and get showered and dressed now and take DH to the hospital. I will try and catch up later but I also need to take kids out and finish varnishing table and a chair (still have 3 chairs left to do I am so slow :rotfl:) I have finished the dresser though :T I think it looks lovely and can't wait to see all of it done together :D will try and do it before the kids break up I think if weather is dry. Anyway i'm off....catch ya later!

Hope DH is ok and it brightens up a little later although its carnival day here so not holding out much hope!

Glad DD had a great birthday and you sound very organised with DS's birthday.

Hopefully when kids finish we can relax a little even if it is only the fact we will not be doing the school run. We have made a bucket list for the holidays after asking them to write down 10 things each it seems very easy to complete as they havent come up with anything that demanding.

    Have a great day :)

DH tore a ligament they think but they have to wait for the swelling to go down to be sure so he has to go back to the drs at the end of the week! On the way to the hospital DD was sick, literally sick, everywhere :wall: then we had to wait around for DH to be finished so I had already planned a library trip to sign up for the summer reading challenge. Well DD decided to be sick on the way to the library, outside the library and thankfully she was empty before we got in there, but then I had to listen to "mum I don't feel well" for 45 mins (thankfully hospital was quiet and DH was x-rayed and looked over in no time really :T ) she was fine by the time we got home just a bit tired and run down :( poor thing. It rained all day anyway so with the two invalids we stayed in and had a movie day.

This morning I paid off DH CC  Most of my emergency funds gone on it :( but they wanted astronomical amounts repaying anyway and kept telling us we had gone over the limit (we had too because they had piled on interest  ) So I cut my losses and paid it all off. I have the card safe and sound AWAY from DH!!! Will have to make a start on the emergency funds again now really as they are very very depleted!!!

Also some good news :j:D:):D:j:beer: <
:T The neighbours are going!!!!! I heard her talking to her eldest son last week about going on a plane soon and I assumed she just meant a holiday although I was feeling pretty :D:dance::wave: awesome about not having them around for 2 weeks never mind going permanently!!! Well this morning DH & I walked past her husband and we smiled at him (i refuse to be the meany in this I haven't started anything all along) and lo and behold he smiled back at us (sort of, he didn't really know what to do :rotfl:) and I felt a little relief at just that to be honest as everything is always so strained! Well anyway DH needed to go to the army drs as well as a&e otherwise he was being made to do phys this week and whilst he was there he saw her husband again and he was booking out of the drs (DH tells me this only happens when people are posted away) so we both take this as a good sign and are like this now :D:dance::wave: She's been having a mad clean and lots of rubbish bags were put outside near my car (and hers) which is what made me think she might be going very soon. We can't be sure until the removals turn up but I'm hoping not to be her neighbour for the whole 6 weeks summer hols and having our kids wanting to play with one another. So fingers crossed my friends that she goes very soon! Also excellent news another family opposite us have gone today :T My DD played with their DD's and they were quite bully-ish in their ways :( lots of parents I think were secretly pleased when they went this morning :D I've been waiting all day to tell you all but had to wait for DH to go out :rotfl: Luckily he's taken DS1 off to play rugby so I jumped on here :T

P.s in money news I got my car insurance for £235 for the year :T So extra money saved is staying in the funds for MOT which is looming next month :(. I also got £25 cash back on this and whilst on the cashback site (TCB) I signed up for 3quifax credit report, money dash board and one other credit checking thing. I just have to cancel all 3 before the 30 days and I get around £20 for all 3 of these too :T 2 are already pending :T. I'm awaiting the tenancy money and I will pay some to the ISA, some to the emergency and then use some for food, we shouldn't need a big shop until weekend and then we have less than a week to pay day so I will try and eek it all out a bit longer. Food spends this month have been great so far considering we are on a 5 week month. Less than £300 so far :T

I've had a huge de-clutter of my front room today and found lots to sell. I have made £7 today already :T £10 is coming on Wednesday for some small old dressing up clothes from the kids and I have lots more on for sale sites on fb waiting to go. If it doesn't go within a few weeks I will just take to the charity shop :)
