Im also very annoyed as I have been using my O2 free mins for 0845 numbers to call my partner in Turkey. I now cant see any alternative way to call him and this to be free. Back to MSN it looks like
Anyone any suggestions?0 -
I just got a heft bill for £100 mainly for using a 07744 number to call abroad. Am I entitled to get a refund as I was not warned that I will get charged?0
-
O2 has just announced that they will start charging customers to call 0844, 0845 and 0870 numbers from 28th sept regardless of when you took the contract and will leave a lot of people suffering as no body will be able to use these numbers so is there any other number which can be used in stead of the above numbers to make international calls for free0
-
Right, now O2 is going to charge seperately to make international calls.
So, which network does allow free minutes for international calls? If so, does anyone can provide me the number, or links. I would appreciate that very muuch.!0 -

There is none. O2 was the last provider to offer such calls from inclusive free minutes. Unless one of those Free International Call companies change their numbers to a standard local number then there's nothing we can do0 -
and even then the networks will come up with some excuse to exclude them.0

If the companies will use a local number it will be very hard to block. But I don't think they will do that.
I'm affraid top-up services are the cheapest way to make international calls with your mobile.0 -

Forget all this 'ring back within 15 seconds', you should try out a Skype-type tool for your mobile. The one I use is Barablue which I use to call my mates in AMerica and Hong Kong. (If that doesn't work for you there must be others!)
I got them to install Barablue on their mobiles and PCs as well and now they get calls direct from my mobile phone for nothing. I can even see if their online. It does Instant Messaging to.
the website is http://www.barablu.com.
