The new mattress was comfortable but not as comfortable as I'd dreamed, I thought I'd be enveloped in softness and squigyness. The mattress is firmer than the old one that's for sure. That said I found myself sleeping on my front which I haven't done for ages, I think the old sagging mattress prevented me from being able to turn over and I did sleep well once I got used to the feel of it.
Today the electrician is coming to do the certificate tests on the fuse box and I can't remember what time I arranged it for  Perhaps I'll list a few more items whilst I'm waiting, vintage heated hostess tray anyone?
Evening shift todaybut I'll take a notebook, if I can find one and make lists

I have exchanged contracts at last:T My completion and moving date is 26th of this month:eek: 19 days and counting
What have I done so far - not a lotTexted the kids to let them know when to book off work. Texted my workplaces to let them know I'm taking the whole week off. I started on the noticification of utilities then realised I didn't know the postcode of where I'm going  Call in place to find out.

Oh I want to get one for Colin. I think he'd find a way to eat the whole lot in one sitting. Where are they being sold?

Congrats on the exchange of contracts, you must be very relieved. Cheering you on from the sideline! You do sound very organised, I am sure the move will go fine for you. And it sounds as if Colin will be nicely spoilt by your parents.0

Hello Piq, I've been lurking at your Diary since you started this new one. I've really been enjoying reading your journey, and am awed by your progress.
I too am in the process of buying (my first flat), and it does make you tear your hair out sometimes! Dealing with other people in a big financial transaction is an eye opening experience! Mostly I find I've got to shrug and admit "nowt queer as folk!"
But that's not what I surfaced to tell you: You can search for any postcode on the Roy4l M4il website (see they are still good for something)
http://www.royalmail.com/postcode-finder/
As long as you have number, street and town it will find it for you. Saves waiting on somebody else bothering to reply to you :T
Keep going, you're doing amazingly!
