Brucie is losing the plot somewhat, a shame. I think he needs to retire gracefully before he embarrasses himself. Still we did enjoy Strictly, although Colin seemed more interested in how much throw he could spread himself over and whether there was any chance of getting some of my macaroni cheese [no chance!]

Agree about Brucie. I grew up watching his shows and I think he's been a terrific entertainer throughout the years, but these days I tape Strictly and tend to fast forward his parts. I'd like to see him announce his retirement and spend the remainder of the season enjoying a well-deserved send-off.

Piq - I'm a little worried about my throw as the entire thing never heats up evenly no matter how much I try and have it smooth, just pockets of heat here and there. Also, the instructions said to have it turned on for two hours for the first time, but it cut out before that. I'm afraid it may be a dud. Thoughts? If it has to be returned then it has to.

    Take care.

I think the throw is a dud, return it asap, you mustn't put up with dodgy electrical goods. We need you safe and well here, not singed and burnt!

Good that your Dad is back on form Piq :T

Although not too sure that your exposure as a 'Cougar' and news of you splashing out on a new mattress aren't entirely unconnected............;) :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hope your day has continued in a great vein - and here's hoping 'Hell Cow' isn't on duty tomorrow :D

    Take care,

    Greying

Not a cougar, not a toast thief :rotfl:borrowed the toast and can't cope with having to breathe in and wear makeup all the time for a younger man :rotfl:Actually, couldn't cope with any man at the moment. I'll move first then think about such things in the New Year. OK?

The mattress is for me and me alone, I'm long overdue a new one, probably by about five years :rotfl:I have decided to get some new pillows too. Hardly mse, but they do say we spend a huge proportion of our lives in bed....

  • Totally agree, I spent £60 on mine and DH's pillows EACH  however it was worth every penny! I've had a bad neck since a car accident 14 years ago and it was getting worse and worse, the new expensive pillow sorted it right out for me ;) so I reckon it's a must and not a want :p
