Ask your own solicitor to clarify precisely what's actually required, and what they are being over fussy about. For the actual requirements, it may be that for a small extra cost you can get indemnity insurance to cover. FENSA certs can be got as duplicates also. Your solicitor will be able to advise though. Good luck!
:hello:Hi EH
I didn't know such an insurance existed. Thank you, I will look into it. Finding time to talk to the solicitor is difficult at the moment as I'm working days and I'm on my own so can't make any telephone calls. I'm back on evenings from next Tuesday, so will be able to make contact then. Still delays it even further though:(Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

The buyer's father is buying the house for her, some girls get all the luck. I get the impression she is just showing off that she can manage the sale with a bit of hard ball. Last time she tried it she lost out to the other buyer and her father stepped in with a higher offer.
On thinking about it I can probably find time to get the Estate Agent on the case tomorrow. He has been pretty good all the way through and at the end of the day he will want his commission....
It's chilly here this evening, the heated throw is on! Two of us are sharing :rotfl:
Not a great deal to report on, I'm feeling at bit bleugh with everything. I'm in the waiting room of my life and I'm not sure I like it, I want to move on but circumstances dictate I must wait.
I think most the packing up is done, still some stuff left but what's left shouldn't take too long. It's mainly my bedroom and the bathroom. I will list some more on eb@y at the weekend, the light has gone by the time I get home and you can't get a decent picture in the evening. Once I have a date I will stop listing until after the move. Can't think of anything worse than selling something then losing it in the move
This post is meandering all over the place, I apologise, I'm tired. I'll be tucking Colin under my arm and climbing the stairs to bedville very soon :TTotal debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Sending you hugs darling Piq...very stressful. I hate uncertainty too so can really sympathise. Highly demotivating IMO.

When we part-ex'd to get away from chav scum neighbours from hell, I had to pay £25 insurance in case the parish church looked to future owners for up keep of the roof, etc. I'm still not sure it was necessary, but as long as it means I don't have to stump up thousands, I really don't begrudge paying it.Good enough is good enough, and I am more than good enough!:j
If all else fails, remember, keep calm and hug a spaniel!0
