Borrowed the toast, borrowed! Turns out it wasn't toast at all but the burnt remnants at Mr GP's attempt at porridge....

I have to correct you all. I was boring, dull even...I fell asleep on the sofa last night :o Missing the alertness necessary to post on here. Yesterday I cooked, pulled pints, cleaned, chatted to the geriatric community, cracked a few terrible jokes and was a good all round egg! And all by myself. The guy I am supposed to work with is an immature tw0nk. Why is there always one wherever you work? Here I have the tw0nk, at the coffee shop I have hell-cow. Perhaps it's me, and everyone else is nice and hardworking and, I, in actual fact am a shouty, brown-nosing, immature letch. Now there's something to think about :rotfl:

Off to work shortly, last day of the working week. I will be sitting alongside Colin [who doubtless will be hogging the throw] with a glass of wine in my hand watching Strictly this evening, something to look forward to!

I would? Well, I don't want to be a cougar to the twonk, that's definite. He keeps building all the tins, cans and coffee containers into really tall towers, which topple at a moments notice. I really think he has size issues...

Brucie is losing the plot somewhat, a shame. I think he needs to retire gracefully before he embarrasses himself. Still we did enjoy Strictly, although Colin seemed more interested in how much throw he could spread himself over and whether there was any chance of getting some of my macaroni cheese [no chance!]

Dad is out and about again, met up for coffee and croissants. He is in excellent spirits.

Another two eb@y sales packed up and ready to go. Also had my first 'buyer collects' lovely lady picked up the cabinet, she was really excited about it. I sold it as a project job, needs repainting, she's already bought the Ball and Farrow paint. £50 cash, not bad:T

I've paid a deposit on a mattress, reduced by more than 50%, very good quality with a ten year guarantee, too good a buy to dither on. I'll transfer the eb@y money and pay the rest tomorrow. They'll also take the old mattress away for £10. Very pleased with it even though it's expensive, might help me sleep and will almost certainly mean I don't have an aching back in the morning. My old mattress is sagging in the middle, it's just had it. My dear dad has suggested it is because of the weight it has to bear :rotfl:I have told him Colin's not that heavy.....It's so lovely that dad has got his sense of humour back, even if it is at my expense!

The buyers are going to pay for the fuse box certification - £140.00. Hopefully meaning things can start moving again. I've packed up some more boxes but I'm bored with it now and I'm sitting reading diaries instead :o

Good that your Dad is back on form Piq :T

Although not too sure that your exposure as a 'Cougar' and news of you splashing out on a new mattress aren't entirely unconnected............;) :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hope your day has continued in a great vein - and here's hoping 'Hell Cow' isn't on duty tomorrow :D

I'm pleased the buyers are coughing up for the fusebox cert.
When we bought this house 25 years ago an expensive floor test HAD to be done; the vendors didn't have a certificate as it was an ex-council house that they had bought. They agreed to go halves with us, but in your case if the buyers WANT a cert, they should pay for it.

Frosty outside here tonight, and I am sat with the heated throw that you recommended Piq. I wouldn't have thought of it otherwise, TY.
