Yay! Everything is moving forward at last! You will glad of all the obeying and things that you have already done.
Obeying? :rotfl:I don't think so! :rotfl:That's the reason I'm on my own now, lack of obeying.....Congrats on the exchange Piq, nearly there now
And debt free by 1st December. You hero! x
....and hello to you Mrs H, lovely to see you. Where have you been hiding out?
I'll only be unofficially debt free on 1st December. I'll have paid off nearly everything, but I'll probably have to wait for the next months statements to truly clear it, but I will finally own every penny I earn.Great news re contracts. I think you should treat yourself to a Yankee candle as a house warming gift to yourself

Might just do that and it might just pair beautifully with a bottle of something....Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

I've had a mini brainwave regarding my lists and have used a listing app that I already have on my phone. Normally I only use it for shopping lists. It has a check-off function and you can have as many lists as you like complete with pretty icons
The beauty of it is I can just add stuff on as I think of it and add other category lists as required
All will be well as long as I don't lose my phone..... I've put the charger as one of the essentials on the keep with me list :T
Last night was very busy meaning the time flew past, let's hope this evening's shift doesn't drag on too much. I'm okay with both jobs to have the week of the move off which is good news.
Today I'll notify the standard utilities, ie energy and water and draft up a letter/email to send to other relevant people/companies.
Off to check the bank account, be back later...Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

I LOVE my list app on my phone - and the "Notes" one too - the random carp I end up noting on there has to be seen to be believed!
So long as the phone is backed up then your info *should* be safe too I think as you can always reinstall the app from backup. Of course that only applies to the date of the last backup....as my phone keeps reminding me I ought to do backups again this is definitely a "Do as I say, not as I do" scenario though....

What wonderful news, Piq!
EH, lovely to see you posting here, I always enjoyed reading you . That Notes app is really useful, isn't it?
Something I've started to do with my phone is to take photos of web pages or documents rather than printing/ copying them/ writing down details if it isn't absolutely necessary.
I have too many 'useful but not vital' pieces of paper and needed to find a way to get organised. My phone saves to the hard drive every time I plug it in to the USB on the pc so there is another copy of the photo there too.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -

For most things on your laptop if you go to print you can print to Microsoft xps. That then gives you the choice of where to save it to. Great for docs such as downloaded insurance policies, works with webpages as well as long as not too big.
Great news Piq :TA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0
