I love the Snoopy too granny - thank you :D

Actually greying, I was naughty today and ran away from my responsibilities with the move. Just couldn't face one more box or form. Leaving Colin with enough food to feed an army of cats I jumped in the car and went to see the Captain :heartpuls

He hasn't seen me for a while yet holds no grudges, charged down the field, not very subtly blocking any route Noah might have tried to get to me first. Thus ensuring he was the first to blow cold wet horse snot into my ear. We had a lovely few hours just grooming and chatting and checking that Noah didn't get any more carrots than the Captain.

Now I'm back here too tired to do anything and it's back to work tomorrow, one day off a week isn't fun :(

I'm going to pause on the eb@ying now, don't want to lose things in the move or be trying to post things off when there are other things to do that are more important. I've got a vacuum bag full of clothing to be listed once I've moved, all carefully labeled up so I don't accidentally de-vacuum it.

I've notified the council, so I don't get into trouble with council tax, got insurance quotes for the new place and that's it. I'll have a session after the coffee shop shift tomorrow.

New washing machine has arrived and is sitting in the garage ready for the move, I need to mark up the old one as staying so one of the lads doesn't pop it on the removal van. But that will be later, I am very tired now and cold, might be an early night in the offing...

Sounds like a great day, Piq; was wondering when you'd manage to steal a few hours to visit Captain. :D

A day with the Captain sounds just what was needed. Clearly Noah has to know his place :rotfl:.
Glad you have a date in the offing, makes sense to stop ebaying now and concentrate on other moving related things.

Hope you managed to warm up - very cold here now too
  • Poor Noah ;) lol, so glad you got to see the Captain though :) just what was needed I bet xx

Did you put water rates, and the GP on your list of moving people. Do you have a lovefilm subscription? Do your works need to know?

What a mixed bag today has been. I did my coffee shop shift and couldn't believe that they refused to acknowledge Armistice Day, despite the fact that a full half of their elderly clientele were standing to attention at the front of the shop. When I asked to have the music turned off I was told in no uncertain terms that as hell-cow wasn't born then she had no **** interest in such things. I felt the need to point out to her that some things were about respect and she should learn to display some. I didn't speak to her for the rest of the shift, I was and still am ashamed to work with her.

It doesn't look like I'll be doing much paperwork for the move this evening. I had every intention of doing so, but a parcel had been delivered whilst I was at work to a neighbour. I went to collect it and couldn't get away. Now I've gone off the idea, perhaps I'll just do the house and contents insurance as there might be a refund in the offing.

The parcel turned out to be a mattress topper for my new mattress. It is lovely! Deep wool and cotton topper, the bed will seem very luxurious. Can't wait for bedtime! I didn't realise it was part of the mattress purchase, so an added bonus.

I hope that the mattress topper is nice and snugly for you and Colin

Hopefully Karma will catch up with the hellcow at some point, I think there might be a lot of people around here sending some very negative thoughts her way. Will you be able to give this job up when you are moved and sorted out?
