In my case, the two play and I end up with tufts of white fluff dotted artistically throughout the house from my boy. Usually they set to immediately after I've hoovered. He also likes to leave a smattering of fluff on my jeans - when he condescends to sit with me. Got to love them though!
Would love a KA, but funds don't allow (at the moment) so will be watching your adventures with your red beauty with some envy.

You have my deepest sympathies, doesn't come off clothes easily, does it? Sometimes I watch as Colin does his evening 'scat cat' as the fur flies off in all directions as he does his mad ten minutes of hurtling up and down the hall, hiding behind the curtain [with his bottom sticking out] and leaping from sofa to chair all at top speed.Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Hi Piq, not posted for a while but have been reading
. Enjoy your red machine when it arrives - you deserve to have nice things but I know that urge about not spending money or thinking REALLY hard about it for ages
.
Sorry to hear you have been having a hard time courtesy of some T@sser - hope its all stopped now but take care and document everything; photos if appropriate or written down with full description, dates etc. I say this as we had troubles many years which I won't go into but doing the documenting helped to get it stopped eventually.
Your description of Colins 'scat cat' routine reminds me of Mr A -we call it his mad 5 minutes which he has most mornings. He is like a cartoon cat as his back legs skid round on the laminate and he slides round corners, hammers up and down the stairs then leaps on the back of the settee and runs up and down that. He thunders off and gives one of his toys a pounding then settles down on my knee when I have a cuppa .
Take care of yourself, hope all furry and hoofed friends are good too.0 -

Lovely to see you again teapot, I was thinking of you the other day and wondering how you were.
I think all cats have a mad or scat cat moment, even the Bear who was the most dignified of cats would suddenly rush round like a lunatic. Einstein, who was the thickest cat ever used to do it too. It must be a cat thing. Luckily, Colin doesn't do it at three o'clock in the morning, there are some mercies!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

It's another day off! Hurrah! I honestly can't remember the last time I had two days off in a week. It's been a six day week for a very long time and it will return again this week. Today is going to be a lazy 'me' day
I'm going to sort out my nails, hair and maybe make myself a face mask. And I've a good book to read - bliss....
There's a loaf of bread in the breadmaker and left over sweetcorn chowder for lunch, what more could I ask for? Nothing! Quite happy thank you!
Definitely, an 'in' day. The rain has startedIt's pouring out there.

The red beauty has arrived :j:j That was quick! I only ordered it yesterday. I opened the door and it was there on the doorstep. Not too happy about that as I've been in all day and very definitely nobody rang the doorbell. Luckily it was well packaged in plastic as it has been raining quite heavily, the cardboard box wasn't wet at all.
So what to make? I have hardly anything in! After all, I go late night shopping tomorrow after the evening shift, see the sights and that sort of thingNo eggs means no cake
However, I do have a barbeque bean and sweet potato casserole in the slow cooker.....Dumplings :T Not sure that under normal circumstances I would use a stand mixer for dumplings, but it's a very special occasion.
So all in all - a great day. Lazing round on the sofa, doing my nails, eyebrows and lashes, reading a book and generally nothing:DTotal debt at October 2008: £67,213.30
