Lovely to see you again teapot, I was thinking of you the other day and wondering how you were.
I think all cats have a mad or scat cat moment, even the Bear who was the most dignified of cats would suddenly rush round like a lunatic. Einstein, who was the thickest cat ever used to do it too. It must be a cat thing. Luckily, Colin doesn't do it at three o'clock in the morning, there are some mercies!
:hello: Aw thanks Piq for thinking of me. I always think of Tom and Jerry when Mr A is racing about as his back legs go in a different direction to the front paws :rotfl:- just need the cartoon music.
Hope you enjoyed your day and had a bit of a break. Just noticed your red friend has arrived, that was v quick. Have fun with it :cool:0 -
A decision made. Despite the arrival of the red beauty I am not going to do an extra car run to do the shopping. It uses fuel not budgeted for and isn't good for the environment or my purse. I'll do it on the way home from work tonight as usual, perhaps I'll see something interesting in the 24/7 to report back on
Anyway, I have the ingredients for shortbread or a banana-light, ie one banana, banana bread :rotfl:
The dumplings were wonderful, but probably no different to making them by hand if I'm honest. I have a portion of stew and a dumpling left over for lunch too! The barbeque sauce made a nice sauce for the stew, I'll definitely do it again.

Glad you are enjoying the Red Beauty! I love mine and much prefer it to a food processor. The FP does what it does wonderfully but it takes ages to wash up - too many awkward spaces. The mixer is a doodle to wash up.
The weather here is awful - it's like the end of the world. I've got to go out in it as well in a while.0 -
Most of the country appears to be underwater. The weather has gone mad.
My cat Keith is on anti stress medication. It means his mad half hour is much more chilled... enjoy your day up to work, look forward to tales from the aisles later. xTrying to shift that debt!0 -
:hello:
Just wandering through, spied you on another diary and thought 'goodness me, it's been FOREVER, I really must catch up!' Sorry
SO pleased to see you are debt and mortgage free - how fab! :j :j Well done you :j :j :j Quite agree with the people on the first page (er, I didn't read further than that) who said it wasn't cheating to sell house
Going to have to read back a bit - I have NO idea what a 'red beauty' is and my mind is currently boggling. First I thought a lawn mower like Pippi'sThen a hoover. Then a bread machine. Now possibly some kind of food mixer? How exciting! We just got a slow cooker and I LOVE it :j
Right, MUST go and do some work, but just thought I'd say :hello: and subscribe and remind myself to come back later0 -

Having dropped by with absolutely no idea whatsoever what has been going on in my absence, I spot the whole Red Beauty conversation and for some reason I decided you had bought a pasta maker. Not quite sure why, but I think I have now cottoned onto to the fact that you have your much coveted KA which I remember many many moons ago that you were desperate to own !!:D I am so pleased that you are finally the proud owner of such a beauty .......... I thought I caught sight of you elsewhere too daff! Great to see you. The red beauty is indeed a KitchenAid mixer. It is sooo beautiful, it is the candy apple one. It gleams on the counter. I have dusted it everyday so farI love my slow cooker too, just had the third portion of a barbeque bean and veg stew that I made in it on Monday. Even better two days down the line. I love coming home to a ready cooked dinner.
