I've had a bit of time out. I was getting myself in a twist about the stalker. However, I've decided I'm not letting an anonymous bully dictate my life. I am being very careful especially driving home, but I'm not going to live in fear over something that may be over. I haven't had any horrible experiences for a couple of weeks now.
I wish I had some exciting news to report..... just the normal, work, chores and animals
On a positive note, I'm still in the black moneywise and adding to the savings through daily rounding downs. On the negative, the stress of a stalker has made me abandon my dietBack on that tomorrow
A very long time ago I promised myself a mixer when I became debt free and I'm going to get one! Just doing the price comparison thing and the Quidco checking etc. I'm going to start making cakes for work [and charging for it] So I can justify the expense. Actually, I can't, but I'm going to do it anyway! It will be paid for in real money and just for fun I will take the selling price of each cake off the total cost until I have paid for it, twice over!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

So pleased that you are OK, I really hope that the problems have come to an end.
I treated myself to a lovely K*nwood about 18 months ago and I love it. I cannot justify it like you can, but I could afford it and it saves my sore joints so much when mixing, whipping and grating, and OH gets to eat more cakes and buns than I would ever make otherwise, even though ingredients are quite expensive it is still so much more economical than buying. (I have been restrained in my intake and haven't put on weight either:rotfl:)
I hope that the four legged ones are all well and healthy.
P.S. I stalked the model I wanted on that well known internet site that sounds like a river for ages until I found it at an amazing price:money:The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -

Glad you are ok
Definitely think you deserve the mixer and as you can recoup some of the cost, definitely justified

Good to know that you are levelling out after all the *happenings*.
Def go for the mixer - you will not regret it. I've got the one you mean and don't regret it at all (although my waistline does). At least yours will earn its keep and you'll recoup the cost in next to no time. Added bonus is that it will look sooo good in your kitchen!0 -
Yes, they are rather handsome aren't they. In the end I decided in favour of the KC as my food processor has a problem with the switch and the package I bought included a FP and a liquidiser, I still like to look at the pretty coloured ones, but no regrets. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. I've always wanted one:o and it will be paid for with my money, not a credit card. I think the waistline is d*mned at the moment anyway
It will look so beautiful in the kitchen. All I need to do is find the best price. Unfortunately, it's one of those things that doesn't vary much in price, seems to be held everywhere at a certain cost. I've only found it about £20 cheaper at the moment.....£100 dearer in some places but certainly not at a bargain price anywhere.

Try Harts of Stur. They frequently have offers on KA. Their *real life* shop is one of my favourite places. Luckily they are about an hour's drive away so I don't get there very often. Their mail order is excellent too.0

Ooh enjoy the mixer! I've got a KC and love it
I couldn't find a brilliant price so just ended up paying full price although I did get cash back

I've got my mums old one and it did have a liquidizer with it but sadly that bit died. It has stopped working a couple of times and a local chap has rushed it into intensive care and made it work again. My hearts always in my mouth as I think this might be it. Goodness knows how old it is.
