Wow this thread got a lot of hits while I was out last night!
Well I did a couple of hours mountain biking last night in hub-deep water (Blanchland moor had turned into a river - it was great fun!), and we didn't get back until 11:30 so we had a piece of shop bought quiche and half a tin of beans each before going to bed so I didn't think that was too bad.
Had some fruit & fibre for brekkie this morning to stop me being tempted by biscuits mid-morning.0 -
Hmmmm - the specifics are very complicated lenny. The two are very different - and YOU are in TROUBLE for disappearing last night and making us think you had gone under the sea
In what form are you prepared to take your punishment :rotfl:

LUNCH: QUORN SAUSAGE SANDWICH, (bread 24U, quorn sausage free on green)
TEA: TOMATO, MUSHROOM and PASTA BAKE, WITH MIXED SALAD. (with chedder: green 4, red 9 1/2, without chedder: green free, red 5 1/2)
Trying to use up food that I already have in, my shopping day is Saturday.

Morning :hello:
Wow, you are all so good looking!! I never knew I had such attractive friends lol! I'm going to hide under a paper bag in Blackpool I think.
Well hubby decided he would cook last night (being nice because we'd argued) so I didn't make the veg pasta, but he did make a lovely low fat curry, which was gorgeous!
Meals for today are:
Toast, orange juice
Tuna sandwich and salad
Vegetable pasta 'thing'
Plus LOADS of water and plenty of fruit."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
aha, you haven't sloped off in the night Lenny!
Thankyou Toto
I'm now fully 'switched on' and it is the equivalent of my DFW lightbulb last summer.
What made it hit home even more is that I found out that an ex-colleague's wife died at the weekend of breast cancer. She only found out 5 weeks ago and was my age - 37. I didn't know her but it just added fuel to my 'get out there and sort it' fire.
I'm sorry about your friend's wife. Breast cancer is a truly evil disease; I watched my mum die from it. I also sat with her while she had her chemo joking and laughing with the other ladies who were having their chemo too. Then, one by one mum would tell me that they had died. She's actually buried next to one of the ladies she went through her chemo with, purely coincidence, that lady was only 34 with 3 young kids. It broke mum's heart, not for her, she knew she didn't have much time, but she used to say, even though I'm only 54 at least I've had half a life and have seen my kids grow into adults, so many of these women won't see their kids grow into adults or get to meet their grandchildren.
5 weeks is a very short amount of time though, I can't decide if that's a blessing or not. Having seen lots of people linger, my mum for 3 years, that in itself is hard. I've seen her so sick from the medication she almost didn't survive that. Life is very precious though and we do need to grab all opportunities. I've toned that theory down a bit from, life is so short, too short not to buy that handbag:D to, life is too short to worry about things which really don't matter. I'm waffling again aren't I :rotfl::A
