I know I'm a bit late but could I join in?
I have a lot of weight to lose (around 6 stone ) so anything to get me started. At the moment my diet is bad and I'm not exercising so this should kick start me to sort out both.
I won't be able to post my food for the next week or so as hubby is going into hospital (he's donating a kidney to his cousin - mind you I'm pretty stressed about it all so I probably won't be eating anything :T) but I will try and post my loss weekly if I can.
Welcome SB and WOW - what a guy. Good luck to your hubby and his cousin, I'm feeling quite humble at his gift.
As for you, you must remember to eat, try little and often and lots of water to keep you hydrated - the last thing you'll need is to be ill yourself.
Best Wishes

Welcome scorpio, and everyone else who's joined. Scorpio your hubby is a hero, I can undersand how worried you are but like tig said, try to eat little and often. I find if I'm dead nervous and can't stomach a full meal snacking on dried fruit, nuts and seeds helps. They keep my energy up but I don't have to sit and eat a meal. So, try to make sure you have something like that with you while hubby is having his op.:A

Hi, thanks for the replies - he is a special man
I will make sure I do eat (it's rare that I don't, hence the need to lose a lot of weight :rotfl::rotfl:).
I will certainly try the dried fruit and nuts idea - note to self - do NOT buy the ones that include chocolate :rotfl::rotfl:Nil Illegitimi desperandum carborundum

Oh and keren, I will cook my chicken the same way as the fish. OH is working away at the moment so I can work on cooking things so they come out of the oven edible.
I've just read your 'what not to wear' post. You need to give yourself a bit of a break. Ok, so over the past year or so you've gained a few pounds (haven't we all) but look at all of the other things you’ve done too. Did that woman on the telly sort her debt out? Did she have the work issues you've had? Did she single handedly sort her life out in just about every area? No, but you did. So you have a bit of extra weight, well, you can and you will get that to where you'll be happy. You shouldn't look at yourself and ask what have I done to myself? You should look at yourself and say, bloody hell, look what I've done for myself. I'm a strong, independent woman who won't let people walk all over her. I'm in control of my life, I've made choices and followed them through with no help from anyone. I'm bloody proud of me. Because I wish I were as capable at sorting my life out as you have been, and for the record I think you really are beautiful and I'm not just saying that. You have amazing dress sense, a style which is all Keren, sophisticated, trendy and young.
So today, you're going to walk your dog with a spring in your step and tell yourself that this weight issue is the last of your hurdles which you will tackle with the same strength as you've used to tackle everything else with.
I've got some Blackpool clothes I can't fit into too, but I know we will fit into them, in fact I think we need to set aside a little Blackpool shopping fund because everything will be hanging off us by then.:A

And it's the honorary girl checking in...
One Asda chicken and mushroom pie (From the 4 I bought yesterday).
One Aldi probiotic strawberry and wheat Breakfast drink.
One Cravendale "Hint of..." drink. The last, thank God - don't buy them, they're awful. _pale_
One diclofenac.
Currently sipping pomegranet and water.
No idea of what I'll have later. Probably stuffed myself enough for the rest of the day now.

aha, you haven't sloped off in the night Lenny!
Thankyou Toto
I'm now fully 'switched on' and it is the equivalent of my DFW lightbulb last summer.
What made it hit home even more is that I found out that an ex-colleague's wife died at the weekend of breast cancer. She only found out 5 weeks ago and was my age - 37. I didn't know her but it just added fuel to my 'get out there and sort it' fire."Stay Wonky":D

Hmmmm - the specifics are very complicated lenny. The two are very different - and YOU are in TROUBLE for disappearing last night and making us think you had gone under the sea
