    Hi all
Short day for me today, I'm back home already. I'm cooking a small lamb joint on a bed of sliced cabbage & potato in the Remolska & it's smelly yummy.
I'm stretching the meal as far as I can, as I'll serve it with salad & crusty bread.
I cooked some pork chops yesterday (hubby's fav's) with chips & beans, my lodger doesn't like potatoes so I did her chicken curry & rice, when I served it, she plonked 2 pork chops on top of it! So I ended up with beans on toast, lol. Boy does she have an appetite & she's always complaining that she can't lose weight. Someone earlier on the thread said she was treating like a surrogate parent, but the lodgers 44 & I'm 55, so I hope she doesn't think I'm her mum.
    Hug to all

    Hi all,
Back again. Had a s**t afternoon. One of our Downs children was playing up, she's only 9, but weighs 10 stone! She decided that she wasn't going to change after PE and went into the library and under a shelf:eek: Couldn't get her out, all I got was abuse, and couldn't shove her, she's heavier than me!:rotfl:
Had to get a collegue to get her out, she sometimes obeys other people. ame home and had a large G & T:beer:
Been on to Mum and Dad, they've had the insurance people in again, stripped the affected rooms, but they're now arguing about the kitchen, so into battle girls!!!!!:money:

Hope you enjoyed your lunch and your champagne tonight.:T

Thanks guys, you dont know how much I appreciate the support!!

Peem, thats my point of view too but OH doesnt deal well with money issues and its really difficult when we live far apart from eachother during the week too, no hugs to bring us together again. Its not easy when you were led to believe everything was ok and you were pretty much counting the money (whilst telling yourself to keep control of things!) and then it could all fall flat.

Amie glad you have had a good day, enjoy the rest of your birthday.

Im having a bad night really, my sister had to be told something today that we were hoping to put off until after my uncles funeral, my ds2 ( as many of you know is really my nephew) has asked that he dosnt have as much contact with her as she wants to since he was told the truth just under a year ago now.
He just wants things to stay as they were before he knew and she has been pushing for more and more time with him since she has moved from wales nearer to us.
Well things came to head tonight and my mum had a argument with her over her attitued and it came out!!! Myself or my mum not heard anything since she slammed the phone down.
Not looking forward to speaking to her, i had asked mum if we could sit her down and explain things to her and what ds2 wants, but now it all has come out wrong.
Will just have to deal with it as it happens, i didnt want to upset her but need to protect ds2 and what he wants surly should come first.

Anyway sorry to go on, you were all so great when i told him so i know you wont mind.

    Hi Everyone

Not a happy wee GB tonight - have a bit of a nasty headache and couldn't face dinner. Could it be one of two things? (a) I couldn't face another roast dinner (beef) from party leftovers; or (b) Could it be I spent a tad too long today looking at MSE when I should have been working?

Aimie - so glad you had a lovely meal. A very happy birthday to you and enjoy your evening.

HHester - sorry but your lodger needs sorted out. Owing rent bad enough but the food from your plate - well out of order.

Dlb - sorry to hear about your little 'accident' today. I am afraid when we both smoked our cars tended to get little holes here and there. I think the sticker idea sounds quite good!!!

Aussie - sorry to hear about the bad hair day yesterday! Congratulations on the new baby back home. Glad you have pictures already.

Math and Queenie - Oooh you are so naughty you two!

Kyle and Twink - been thinking about you all today. How wonderful doctor came to help DS1 with his medication - can only happen I think in smaller communities. Hope lo OK.

Boo - so sorry to hear about your situation. Sorry I can't offer firm advice but thinking of you.

Pink-Winged - good to communicate with you today and thanks for your understanding and support in the other matter!

Sorry folk, I am running out of steam so will say hope all children who are ill, have had bumps etc are OK and that everyone else gets through the rest of the day. Off to take the pills so maybe get back on later (ibuprofen washed down with red - good idea or not!!!)

Love and special thoughts to you all.

PS It is not worth me trying to post from work. The formatting goes absolutely more crazy than it did here the other day and the Thanks button (and Show Me button) totally don't work!
