Afternoon.
Happy birthday Aimee
Busy day here. DD and I spent 3 hours clearing out the living room. Basically moved a pile of toys up to the bedroom and organised those that are left into the toy basket they're supposed to be in.
LOL Queenie and Math:D
Kyle - hope Twink and the lo are ok today.
DS came home from school early with a big bump on his head - someone pushed him when he was 1/2 way down the fireman's pole - . He's quite alright and bored now (I didn't want to entertain him too much as he's finally going to school with absolutely no complaints! So I don't want home to be too attractive).
Off to make dinner - my fishcakes are sitting firming up in the fridge, just need to cook them.
Got some 1/2 price blueberries yesterday so we'll have to make some muffins later.
Take care."You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me." - C.S. Lewis0 -
Pooky, your chicken in the SC sounds lovely, can you tell me the ingredients cos I've not cooked chicken in my SC yet, I'm a new to SC'ing!
Jo.x
It was just 2 large onions, 2 carrots, 3 cloves of garlic, 2 sticks of celery all chopped and layed on the bottom of the SC - bung your chicken on top and add a large glass of red or white wine and equal amount of water - turn on low and leave for 6 hours. So easy to do but it does tend to fall to bits as you try and lift it out.

Hi
This is a blatant request to ask everyone to keep their fingers and toes crossed for my OH as he thought a loan application was approved but now turns out that its not that simple. We think its likely to be rejected as the reviews on their company look bad and he doesnt have a great credit rating.
Without this we are really stuffed and money problems have a really bad effect on our otherwise perfect relationship.
Thank you

Hi!
Happy Birthday Aimee hope you've had a good day!
dlb Have a look on the inernet for repair kits or put a pretty sticker on the hole. My kid's stickers are always found in strange places here!
Spent the morning helping at the church drop-in and came home with some left-over delicious hm banana cake, yummy. Not done much else as I'm feeling tired after a restless night. I cooked Irish Stew in the sc overnight and that will be re-heated for tonight's tea with smoothies and the banana cake.
It rained here last night but it's been dry and the sun is shining now so the kids are playing out with their friends. It's lovely to hear them playing out together, making up games and not sat in front of the tv or computer.
Have a good evening!0 -
Hi boo,
I've moved your post into the daily thread where you'll get lots of support. I really hope it works out for you.

Boo
got everything crossed - even my eyes. Hope things work out. Please don't let money get to your relationship - I know it's easy to do, but just think, if you work together it could be better. Hello everyone
Only popped on to wish Amiee a very Happy Birthday, have a lovely day!
Not much happening in my life, very dull & depressing. trying not to dewll on things, fed up with crying!
My brother has brought his date forward for when he leaves for Florida, he's now going the on the 17th July, instead of the 31st. Only a couple of weeks, but he says, he'd rather be in the sun, than pay any more rent to the council! Cant fault him. Wish I was going with him!
Anyway, chicken curry for dinner, with rice.
By for now

Hi all
Short day for me today, I'm back home already. I'm cooking a small lamb joint on a bed of sliced cabbage & potato in the Remolska & it's smelly yummy.
I'm stretching the meal as far as I can, as I'll serve it with salad & crusty bread.
I cooked some pork chops yesterday (hubby's fav's) with chips & beans, my lodger doesn't like potatoes so I did her chicken curry & rice, when I served it, she plonked 2 pork chops on top of it! So I ended up with beans on toast, lol. Boy does she have an appetite & she's always complaining that she can't lose weight. Someone earlier on the thread said she was treating like a surrogate parent, but the lodgers 44 & I'm 55, so I hope she doesn't think I'm her mum.
Hug to all
Hester
