Same, I've had the needle drainage twice, for several lumps each time. It really is true what they say, about how few women have anything malignant when they get referred in this way. 1 in 25 had problems, the rest was stuff like everyone has described. It can't stop you worrying altogether, but I hope the feedback gives you some solid ground to stand on.2023: the year I get to buy a car5

You are all wonderful. Thank you so much. It was really helpful as was the friend who I had coffee with this morning who repeated what you all said from her personal experience. (Church coffee so cheap!) Thank you.

Watty1 said:Had a bit of a meltdown yesterday. I think it finally dawned on me that it is me that keeps this ship afloat and with three horses a large dog and a cat it is quite a ship. Also the extent of the work on the house seems overwhelming as it hasn't been touched in 5 years, and is old and a lot needs doing. Your list is a great way of putting the list back into proportion and a great way of realising what the priority things are.
The fences all need repair, there is a water leak in the field, the garden is over run with weeds despite my efforts and everywhere I look there seems to be a major job that needs doing.
The plasterer that was supposed to finish off the new windows has not shown up he might have gone on holiday - try him again next week, once schools are back (if he is older, it might be grandparent duties)
the carpenter for the stairs repairs has stopped answering messages so I suppose he doesn't want the job as above, with the changes to roaming, many switch their phones off but if he has gone awol, ask your local friends about a recommendation
the en-suite has developed a smell reminiscent of an unsavoury overseas unsanitary holiday destination. This might be the mould. Not to mention the mould in the shower. @daisy_1571 recommended a product. Me? at my Mum's I stream thick bleach down the silicon seamed corners, the grout lines and along the wall to floor seam and wedge kitchen paper in there. 2 hours later I go in with an old toothbrush. Most satisfying but make sure the window is open.
When you come to remodel the ensuite, use an up and over shower tray and shower board. Re-siliconing is easy. Ask me if you want to know more. I use my universal spreader (finger), dipped in water with w-up liquid in to stop the silicon sticking.
Both TV's have stopped working as have the Fire Sticks...... say more... power? receiving signal? what are they running on? aerial, dish? the list goes on.
With winter approaching I am aware I have no wood or coal and the front door has so many holes the wind will whistle through again. Buy an oversized curtain and hang a rail in front of the door and put the curtain up - charity shops have more than they can cope with (as does FB MP and the Bay of E) - very cheap, very effective. And contact a tree surgeon and get some wood for winter 2025 now, and order some seasoned wood for this winter and next (by the trailer is better as your outbuildings should have room, (get the chimney swept) and if your woodburner has no grate, get one on FBMP and then you can burn coal in it (or better still, Homefire, which is pressed dust bricks of smokeless fuel that will burn hot and clean your flue)
Anyway utterly overwhelmed but trying to look for something bright and the house is at least clean thanks to the lovely cleaner. After she blitzed the house I decided to keep her on. Frugal me says I could clean, but aware my mental health is struggling I think having someone do it for me is as beneficial as the counselling. Ask your cleaner to do one deep clean job each week to regain control. I agree, worth every penny
If the fence is post and rail, it is unlikely to be rotten, more likely it needs bits reattaching. I am a great one for acquiring pallets and using the wood from these. If you see any pallet crates that had paving in, they are hardwood. (actually we use two on their sides as wood stores)To repair the fence you could DIY it - remove bits of hardwood and use them to brace damaged fencing with some self tapping 3" (10cm) screws and an electric screwdriver (drill).
Well done for getting checked. My sis is lumpy but they have always been benign. And even if not, read Sarah Beeny's new book and when your TV is fixed, watch her documentary on her journey so far.

Re your door curtain. I use an adjustable shower rail to hang mine. My sister is just a tad picky (feel free to translate) & has never in all the years I have had it up had cause to comment. When my back door letter box started letting a howling gale through when the wind was in the wrong direction I did exactly the same. Whilst the rail is over 6 ft the curtain is only just over door width. I have a very posh shower rail that is going to go up in my dinning room within the window to stop heat going up the curtains & having to tuck them up on the window sill.

Watty - I wished you lived closer as I have loads of wood in my garden from a tree that was chopped down when I moved in 4 years ago. My ex-husband was going to take it but never has and so it has been in my garden ever since!

Thank you all for the tips. They have made me feel so much brighter because obviously there is a solution to everything. i just need to sort some priorities.
Appointment at the hospital is on Friday so that will be one thing off the list and I will know what is what then.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Trying to focus on the positive points for today and looking forward to getting tomorrow's appointment done so i know "what is what"
So in positive mode: the farrier have been and the fell pony's feet are, in his words, 200% improved. Hinds nearly normal and he is very impressed with my work and also with the pony who, as regular readers know was more of a mid life crisis purchase and one I regretted as the pony bit me regularly and was a thug. It struck me today and the previous nightmare stood quietly for the farrier and was nicely behaved. The farrier found it hard to believe it was the same pony and as I stood there chatting, so did I. What a cutie! If I can sort his feet he can go "to school" to learn to be a ridden pony.
Another positive: The plasterer turned up to plaster the windows and agreed to quote for another job. I don't know why he went AWOL and didn't ask, he simply rang and said I can be there at 8,00 to 8.30 on Thursday and he has turned up. He also said the job i asked him to quote for might be a very simple one and might not need him, he'll have a look and talk me through it as he things with a bit of instruction I could do the job myself. I knew I liked him!
And final positive, the sun is gorgeous. I took my breakfast outside and then after the farrier had been settled down outside for a second breakfast of toast and jam and a cup of tea whilst WattyDog bought me stones.
Life is good when I remind myself to think of "what is good".

That's great re the pony, the plasterer (bet he was on hols!) and the dog. Thinking about you and the doc's with fingers crossed 🤞 xSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Just checking in @Watty1. It takes a while for new normal to get established. Went to my old house today to help DD water exH's garden. It felt weird, even though we never lived there together; it was the place after the marital home and he moved in when I moved out to set up home with DH. Also drove past first house exH and I when first married the other day. Magical place and setting, but if the relationship isn't right, it's lipstick on a gorilla. Thought about it and decided that given who we both were at the time, I did everything I could. Came home determined to keep on appreciating my life now. Love Humdinger xx7
