I’ve used Vinted a few times and it’s good for selling (for buying you end up out of pocket for postage if you have to return something, even if it’s faulty 😏). If they are dressy is there a dress agency near you? Would save you having to store stuff while waiting for it to sell.
Love the sound of your idea!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Hi @Watty1,
I have been following since the split (haven't managed to get back any further yet) but willing you all the way to find a way out of this mess that your ex created and still trying to control (could say much more from the key board but I wont) it's not about ex. Its about you so just wanted to say what a fantastic idea to live on the land!
Sometimes the other plans arnt meant to work out and ex holding off seems to have given you the best idea yet! Brilliant!3 -
Thank you @family355
A very nice man came out and did a site visit and was so helpful. I admit i did not really understand all he said about things but i got enough of it to understand what I need to be talking to various trades about water and electricity. Composting toilets were declined in favour of a real flush even if it costs more! However it is all possible. It might be a bit tricky if we have a hard winter but I will just have to live with that or decamp to a hotel if too awful to cope with for a few nights.
I need to arrange to have some fence posts taking out and a chunk of fencing will have to be sacrificed and sadly some of the lovely hawthorn bush will need to go but hawthorn is hardy and should shoot again. I know a fencer who I am hoping can be booked to remove fencing and re-install it after the delivery.
In short so far so good and it is a "green light idea" I am so excited. We ran through planning and I know I am strictly outside the area it should be and we talked about putting it in the garden but i cannot face that as is too near the ex. Where I am thinking I will have peace, the fields and it will be like a lovely holiday. Collected up a bag of stuff for charity shop today as will need to really embrace minimalistic living now.

@Watty1 I love it! You have such a determined creative way of thinking through and round problems. There may be obstacles ahead but I'm backing you to do this, and in style! Onwards and upwards love Humdinger xx3

Sounds like another cunning plan is coming together. Now, is there any way to bill ex to read a letter about it?6
