  • Is anybody still waiting for the free wine? i completed the form about 4 weeks ago for 6 free bottles of white wine.. i can't seem to locate the original email (think i have accidentally deleted it..) can anybody please have a look at that email and let me know if there was a direct number for the 'wine team..' or maybe an email address?

  • But has anyone got through on the 0845 number - seems you have to wait a long time, I gave up as it is a number you have to pay for...
  • I called the 0845 number this morning and was told the offer was pulled on 23rd Aug. However through the secure messaging on Virgin site I was told I did qualify. The lady on the phone has sent through my order for Rose wine at a chance it might go through.

    I will not give up until I have my wine!! :beer:
  • Hi all, just thoght I'd let people know that calling the 0845 number does work. I called about 2 weeks ago about me not receiving the email to oder the wine. they said thney'd "look into it" I wasn't that hopeful, but just received a box of 6 reds today out of the blue.

    My husband also applied (after me) got the email, ordered the wine, and a box with 5 bottles in turned up. He called them, as the courier company had taped the box up, and we though perhaps they were taking a bottle from each box. They offered him a credit on a wine account, which he didn't want, so they sent another single bottle out instead.

    We have been very impressed with Virgin, and from this free offer have used his card for a money transfer to pay for work we need doing on the house, we were looking into a loan when they explained about this 25 month interest free option.

  • OK, persistence through the secure messaging seems to work,

    Have now had a reply saying that I should have received an email for selection of the wine.

    I haven't had anything by email yet from Virgin Credit Card, so have messaged them to request a resend of their email.

    They do say that the wine selection has to be made by the end of November...

    Here's hoping....

    If its anything like the wine for switching utilities a while ago its really not worth the wait it was bloody awful !

    I applied for this card because of the wine offer back on 21 August. Having heard nothing about the wine (no email as promised), after several weeks I contacted Virgin Money via the secure messaging system, and was advised to call the dedicated 0845 number. This I did a couple of weeks ago, got through within a couple of minutes to someone helpful who took down my details, and promised that either the wine would turn up within 2 weeks, or someone would call me back within a few days if there was a problem or I wasn't eligible (I was ready to argue this!).

    Today, the wine arrived. So I'd say it's worth pursuing the matter via the 0845 number if anyone else is in the same situation.
  • Pleased to report I actually got the wine in the end - arrived today! I got it by making an enquiry to Virgin Wine about another offer for £50 off. They emailed me about my interest and I replied saying how dismayed I was about the Virgin credit card deal and lack of wine.

    A few emails later - hey presto! So thanks after all Mr Branson!
