I assume the OP is talking about the MSE offer?

Virgin Money will provide a free gift to new customers who apply and are approved for a Virgin Balance Transfer Credit Card through virginmoney.com between 12 and 31 August 2013 (“the Offer”).
The Offer is only available to new customers who apply through moneysupermarket.com until 23 August 2013.
The Offer only applies to the Virgin Balance Transfer Credit Card.
The Offer is made to the main account holder. Additional cardholders are not eligible.
We will send details of how to redeem the Offer by email within 21 days of approval of your application. You must redeem the offer by midnight on 30 November 2013.
The Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer and there is no cash alternative.
Virgin Money reserves the right to amend, vary or withdraw this Offer at any time and without notice.0 -
Not had any contact yet about the wine. Hopefully within the next week0

I noticed that the offer had been closed due to high demand, on about the 23rd. August.
I am not hopeful that our application on the 21st will produce any wine. We have received our pin number however.
Interestingly, we have received a communication from MBNA telling us that as we have been accepted for another card within their group, they will helpfully reduce our available amount on the MBNA card to £3000, from the existing £10000. Not quite sure of their logic, as the new card is starting at £3000 anyway.0 -

MSE is owned by Moneysupermarket.comI seldom end up where I wanted to go, but almost always end up where I need to be0 -
I don't think it was necessary to go via Money Supermarket, I seem to recall that the offer was also available directly from the Virgin Money website. The link on the MoneySaving email went directly to Virgin Money.
NEWS FLASH: Just received the Virgin Wine email and applied for a mixed case0 -
Just had email but NO wine offer0
