This will seem very random but on an episode of QI recently they said that when you're looking for something it's most likely to turn up if you say outloud what it is you're looking for.

What like 'iPod, iPod where the /(:)(£;)£ are you.?:rotfl::rotfl:

That app works for iPods and iPads too. Despite the name.

If you log onto someone else's i-something, you can use Find My iPhone to play a loud lost sound. Trouble is, only works if the missing i-gadget has any battery left.

If my iPod goes walkies, it's normally in a pile of paper. They're really light and slidey.

Yes they are. I'm trying to work out how the app works, something about iCloud? Any help how to use it? Than you

You needed to install it on the iPod before it went missing...

    Great in hindsight!

I hope you find it. A dress of mine that I took out of the wardrobe so daughter could try it on, went missing a few weeks ago. It has never turned up. We ALL went through this house with a fine tooth comb.

Weird doesn't even begin to cover it.

is there any reason why he'd take the cover off? my daughter has to remove hers to get it to dock, could it be a clue as to what he last did with it? Hope you find it soon.

We tried locating with app, it's offline, no loud noise, he says the cover slipped off, the app was installed before it went missing, his device shows up in grey,

Just been on a online chat with apple and they say nothing can be done technically to locate ipod as it is dead and cannot be traced through icloud etc it is back to the old fashioned way of stripping out rooms bit by bit to find the ipod, she said she wished she could help me more but cant:(

No need to guess what i'm going to be doing this afternoon with a fine toothcomb;)

yes weird:rotfl: things to do have a habit of turning up though, a few weeks ago I lost a key, oh boy did I hunt, bins, bedrooms, draws, under the settee, over the settee, you name it the house was trashed and re- done and nothing, then I asked for some coins from my OH and he opened his coin pouch bit of his wallet and there was the key:D he must have thought it was his key and put it in his wallet and yet he knew and helped with the destruction and reconstruction of the house and never thought to look inside his coin bit of his wallet, I mean why would you?:D

Things do turn up she says hopefully;)

  • It's obviously slipped into another dimension - things do that all the time in our house.... especially keys, earphones, combs and the like. Ask the universe for the ipod back - and I bet it will turn up!
