How to find a 'dead' ipod...

This will seem very random but on an episode of QI recently they said that when you're looking for something it's most likely to turn up if you say outloud what it is you're looking for.
I think thats more for the person that actally lost it though as the point is it will trigger your memory to where you last had it.
People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -

The memory thing is your best clue - have you asked him to retrace his steps from that day ... get out of the car, go up to his room, take his jacket off ....
Also, where was the ipod cover found - was it randomly lying on the floor, or had it deliberately been taken off and put on a table? How easy was it for the ipod to slip out - could he have lost it earlier and not realised because he still had the empty cover?0 -
Have you heard any spooky sounds lately? Or doors opening closing by themselves? Chairs stacked on top of each other in the middle of the kitchen floor? That kind of thing? :rotfl:
Seriously though, is any of the family a sleepwalker? Sounds daft but my eldest can do all sorts at night and have no clue about any of it.Herman - MP for all!

Whatever you do, don't use the washing machine or the dishwasher until you've found it!0

Any chance he broke it and is too scared to tell you?0

We have things go missing quite often, we found the TV remote in the fridge once.
The bathroom is usually a good place but you've already tried that.
I agree with trying to jog his memory, what was he doing on it last time he used it? Where did he go when you got in?
I lost my bank card once and looked everywhere. I emptied my purse completely, later on my mum did the same and it definitely wasn't there.
A few days later I was shopping and went to get my new card out and there it was just lying there in plain view. There is no way we could have missed seeing it but we did

Under a rug/carpet? My DD's Oyster card turned up there the other day.0

I lost a multi-tool a few months back. Looked everywhere for it including checking the backpack it is usually kept in more than a couple of times. It eventually turned up inside the backpack in a pocket I forgot was even there. Sadly it took an X-ray machine to find it and it was promptly confiscated as the tool had a couple of knife blades on it and the X-ray machine was at a court building.
I did get it back in the post a few days later :-)0 -
sit in the middle of the room and ask the Hiding Fairy to return what she has taken. Apologise for what ever you have done wrong (which is why she hides things) and your ipod should turn up.
Works every time (even worked with a very skeptical chap at work who had lost his car keys)Fat and proud lol0 -
