Might be a bit of a last resort, but have you checked the airing cupboard? Just in case he needed to get some toilet roll or a towel on the way to the bathroom.

That app works for iPods and iPads too. Despite the name.

If you log onto someone else's i-something, you can use Find My iPhone to play a loud lost sound. Trouble is, only works if the missing i-gadget has any battery left.

If my iPod goes walkies, it's normally in a pile of paper. They're really light and slidey.

Whenever I lose anything, it usually turns up in the last place I look for it.

This will seem very random but on an episode of QI recently they said that when you're looking for something it's most likely to turn up if you say outloud what it is you're looking for.
