On my way to local Wetherspoons in an hour ( Barum Top ).

All trad guest ales on Wednesday are £1.79p a pint instead of the normal £1.99p, a good mix of 4% pale ales up to 8% plus dark winter beers . Bargain !

Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

Pubs around me vary so much, but I simply won't go to the expensive ones! Anymore than about £3 and I'm not interested. Reading this though, I cannot believe there are some pubs that charge more than a fiver!

Pub I work in is £4.20... sick of the 'YOU WHAT?' every time I ask for payment. Its not me that sets the prices. I don't drink alcohol, I think its a luxury and I've got no sympathy.

Cheapest is Carlsberg at £2.20 per pint..

Next cheapest £3.20 for a pint of Fosters.
  • The closest pub next to me charges around £3.60 - getting a round in can easily top £20 when I go out with friends.

Another vote for Wetherspoons from me.
I went into a newly built pub and restaurant near me this week and a pint of bitter was £3.49. Not somewhere I will be visiting often.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

Local Wetherspoons in Rotherham a pint of Strongbow is £1.75.
Pub across the road from it charges £1.90 with all Sky Sports on.

Weatherspoons bills me £1.99 for a large Cola.
I'm the designated driver - and mildly resent nursing my glass whilst others are getting shambled at less per pint...
