How much is a pint in your local?

Carlsberg half normal, half Export (I know, awkward customer!) £3.30 a pint - at the Iron Duke, Clunderwen, Pembrokeshire0

I stopped going to the pub years ago after discovering that most cask beer was basically fish-soup due to the isinglass left in the bottom of the barrel. Yeast drops out naturally under the influence of gravity so there is absolutely no need to use animal products in what should be a plant-based drink.
Unfortunately, the law doesn't require brewers to tell you what else they have put in your beer along with the hops, yeast, malt and water it should be.
I'd much rather get a couple of decent bottles of fish-free beer in and enjoy them at home, plus the fact most of them taste far better than the tired old brown stuff most pubs serve at vastly inflated prices.0 -
£2 to £3My local JDWs sells a reasonable pint of ale for 1.89, but most real ale is around 2.35 to 2.50. Other pubs in my area will sell a pint of ale for around 3.20 a pint.
My locals where I'm abroad for almost half of the year sell a pint of draught lager for between 50p (happy hour) and a pound.... :beer:0 -
£2 to £3£2.55 for Banks's Bitter in my local in Gloucester0

£2 to £3my locals
mild 2.65
bitter 2.85
guest cask 2.90 - 3.20

Wetherspoons all minus 0.50 - 1.00 less CAMRA discount !
Scotch Piper in Lydiate is fap0 -
£1 to £2A pint of guest real ale is £1.59 in my local Wetherspoon in Spennymoor.
By the way MSE, CAMRA already does an annual regional prices survey so your just duplicating their efforts.0 -
£3 to £4Most pubs here in Hastings charge £3.30 - £3.80 for most beers. It's a bit of a joke, as it's not exactly an affluent area...0

£3 to £4Was in a pub near Holborn last week. I nearly fainted when I saw "£4.95" written on the taps. I nearly died when I realised this was for a half-pint!
Bloody lovely, though, and they also had some (equally delicious) local ales for £3.95... for a whole pint too!0 -
In my village on the expensive south coast I paid £3.80&3.90 for some decent pints of real ale last Friday. It reminded me why I often have more pints at my sailing club, which is £2.50 for the guest and £2.20 for the regular bitter.
When I go off to the local city to watch the football a similar difference applies between the ordinary pubs and Wetherforks, and given the quantities we sometimes drink the savings can be significant. I've never had an issue with the quality at W's, and although small, quaint and atmospheric pubs are great it's often the company and beer that are important. Saving a fiver by drinking in a cheap pub is important for some of us!0 -

Thats horrid, you drink liquid?
Your taking in countless numbers of microscopic organisms when you drink a liquid.
Thats murder.
Myself i stand on a tall horse and tell the masses how much better than them I am on internet forums by filtering the liquids through a cloud of superiority that surrounds me which means i can look down on people who drink liquids normally from an even higher moral standpoint than you.Hi there! We’ve had to remove your signature. It was so good we removed it because we cannot think of one so good as you had and need to protect others from seeing such a great signature.0
