£4.50. Typical at decent central London pubs, especially around Covent Garden.

Hi there! We’ve had to remove your signature. It was so good we removed it because we cannot think of one so good as you had and need to protect others from seeing such a great signature.

My local charges £2.49 for a pint of lager. Bitter is cheaper, sometimes under £2. Believe it or not, these prices have been hiked over the years since the smoking ban. It's a Holts pub (people in Manchester will know) and they used to be the cheapest pint in the country, but they divided opinion on taste. I used to refuse to drink the stuff, but was advised to give them a try a few years back as they had improved in an attempt to draw in new drinkers, after the smoking ban. Not a bad pint, in a really nice pub!

Ah yes, my local last year was a Holts pub with similar prices. Holts is lovely lager too. I never understood how they made any money, its an enormous building, must cost a fortune to maintain. We used to find it most amusing to put ridiculous rave music on the jukebox whilst surrounded by regulars at least twice our age. :p

The local near uni is £2.49 for Carlsberg. Union bar was £2.30 last year but they seem to put it up very often. When I started at uni it was £1.60!

Visiting friends down South I am always staggered at paying £3.50-£4 in a pub. Having said that a mate's local in London was £2 for certain pints, though that was a student pub.

I'd say normal price is about £3.20, some a bit more but that would be the price for the "cheap" lager.
