The nearest pub to me, £3.80 for a pint of fizzy keg rubbish. Half a mile down the road, they've got 6 cask ales on tap at £2.40 a pint. Guess which one I go to :-)

So glad the Edinburgh Festival is over, I had to fork out over £6.50 for a pint one time, I almost cried as I tucked into my liquid gold (pint of Tennents)

In the "local" pubs, I think it's about £2.60 for a pint of bog standard (tennents or carling) lager.

In the trendier bars it usually sits about £3.20 - £3.40.

I'd refuse to pay more than £2.50 for one though, felt like crying when I thought I'd go for a night out in central London thinking £20 would last me well..

In Amsterdam a pint of Amstel is 5euro which is about £4.18. Other lagers might have been cheaper though.

As to what pubs I frequent charge I couldnt say but Ill remember next I buy a drink.

For a genuine £5 pint of lager (draught), I can recommend the National Film Theatre bar.
