Well, I'm still here and plodding along. Just 2 days until we find out about hubby's bonus. The car is fully repaired and paid for. We are picking it up on Saturday. Train tickets have been booked so it should be as relaxing a trip as possible (and cheaper/less hassle than driving a hire car). And yeah, I have signed up for AA membership already!
Still desperately short of cash for everything we need to do. Just trying to juggle it all. Biggest concern now is getting the money together to ship what will be left of our household goods to the States. I am waiting on quotes and am quite afraid to hazard a guess at the cost. We will just have to see.
Still no word on the money from my ring but hoping to hear today. I've not been very impressed with the customer service to be fair.
Rent remains unpaid. God I hate that.

Yes, I'm a little relieved!! Talk about impeccable timing! Plus I have been told that the cheque is due from the ring sale although I am still waiting on confirmation. I will definitely need it to successfully deal with our upcoming move so my fingers remain crossed! The only thing that is a bit gutting is that even with a £2k windfall, I can't make a dent in that car loan! Funny, isn't it, how your viewpoint on money changes when you truly commit to becoming debt free. I have not lost the overwhelming desire to be utterly rid of it all and it's been a very frustrating few weeks. I am hoping with the ring sale that we can still pay off the car loan AND finance our move so that we can arrive Stateside debt free and with some pennies in the bank.
