Sorry to hear your parents are no longer here with us. I still somewhat believe mine will be here forever.
As for money being everything, this will most likely sound a little odd coming from me but I agree.2018 totals:
Savings £11,200
Mortgage Overpayments £5,5000 -
I think you will find that in many ways they most certainly will be here forever. If you heard some of the things I say these days you would know my mother is still here!
I do not worry about these things because I know my mother will be waiting on me when it is my turn and so I have peace about it. Now my Dad? Well, I'm doubting he's getting much peace because I have a feeling my mother is still reading him the riot act......and might still be doing so when I get there!
Another wet day in North Yorkshire but bring it on! Just a couple more days and then I get to slam some more debt down, cross into November, go to bonfire night and eat toffee apples! Yeah! Life is gooooooood!I also don't have to deal with incessant door knocking for trick or treat as we live in a gated community that you have to be buzzed into. Way cool! A definite advantage of living here!
So the plan for today? Well after last nights roaring success, I imagine a late night stroll through A$da is on the cards! Roadkill if we can find it and crossing my fingers for a survey from crowdology that will get me to the cash out threshold. No matter what, I shall accept what the day offers with an open heart and the mindset to maximize the returns.......and my first priority is to check the Euromillions lucky dip for the work syndicate this morning!

Sitting in the train station with a young woman next to me who is drinking a coffee to go......I so want to ask her if she's worked out how much she's spending on those each year....!Credit Card Freedom gained 14 Feb 2014!!Total Debt Freedom gained 29 Apr 2014!!Savings goal 30/9/23: £72,000/£538,001.....yes I'm serious!Total Debt August 2013: [STRIKE]$21,587[/STRIKE] April 2014: $0!!!!:j0

Coffee used to be a huge downfall for me. I just love a mug of fresh coffee. But at £3 a pop and considering I only drink it black I had to stop! I have a flask for work now and only allow myself to buy coffee once a week at college where it's only £1.50 a go.
I too can't wait for October to be over. It seems like everything has needed money spent on it this month. Bring on November when the debts can become the priority again!0 -
Hope everyone else is looking forward to November. Very best of love and luck to all my fellow DFWs.
I'm looking forward to opening my SPC pot in November then spending some of the money in December visiting family and treating themThere are more of us! Where in the county do you live or are you a city dweller?
Unfortunately i live in Derby Town Centre (well a 15 minute walk away) It's not the best. I'd love to live further out. Where abouts are you?Sorry to hear your parents are no longer here with us. I still somewhat believe mine will be here forever.

Is it wrong that whenever I get a tea somewhere (I don't take sugar in mine), I snaffle a couple of sugar packets and take them home......I figure I've technically paid for it so I add it to the sugar pot for hubby in the kitchen!crimson.addict wrote: »Don't shout at me...... but i spend £100 a month on Starbucks
 I think we spend about £15 as we go twice a month to Costa as a treat and get tarts once also. I can't imagine!
Alex, yes I do have some nice plans and all minimal spends. Although my favourite anticipated event is a Nickelback concert at the end of the month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Paid for months ago and I have every intention of singing out of tune, screaming my head off, and losing my voice. It. Is. Going. To. Be. Awesome. 3rd time for me to see them live and I know it won't be getting old. They are unbelievable in concert. :T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T
TTGU, I have fantasies.......we'll leave it at that! :rotfl::D:rotfl: I have often referred to them as my Ally McBeal moments when I succumb to the daydream only to snap back to reality......one of these days I am going to get the two mixed up and you can all read about it in the papers.....!Credit Card Freedom gained 14 Feb 2014!!Total Debt Freedom gained 29 Apr 2014!!Savings goal 30/9/23: £72,000/£538,001.....yes I'm serious!Total Debt August 2013: [STRIKE]$21,587[/STRIKE] April 2014: $0!!!!:j0
