Just stopping by to wish everyone a safe night and morning in light of the storm that's heading our way. I'm lucky enough to be just outside the area that is suspected to be worst hit but I am sure it will still be an interesting walk to the train station tomorrow! Stay safe and stay home if it looks dangerous in the morning. X

Thank you HOK3Y. I don't think we are meant to get it too bad either. Mrs. K. is meant to have a site visit tomorrow too so really hoping it's not so bad come the morning and already told her not to wear a skirt. ;)

Well, I don't know how it is for those of you in the south but there is not even a breeze up here. In fact, it is eerily still.

So hopefully it should be an uneventful trip to the office. All the trains are running on time. If it does get a bit mad, we can watch from the window and it will hopefully be done by 5pm! At least that's the plan!

I would like to take a walk out at lunchtime but will put that on the back burner if Jude makes its way up north. Definitely putting my hair up today though - no point swallowing it repeatedly!

Wishing everyone a safe Monday without any financial hiccups such as uninsured tree hits and the like. Batten down the hatches fellow DFWs.....it may be a bumpy ride!

Well, we've had pretty much nothing weatherwise in North Yorks - a bit of rain and a slow gust or two but that is it. Not gonna complain! Took my walk out at lunchtime and snagged a bright shiny penny from mere feet away from a young man who was waiting on the bus. Crazy that people ignore money but I am not going to try to change their viewpoint! Their loss, my gain!

So the plan for the evening is to check the ISAs and see if our monthly interest has been added, find some receipts to womble, and see if there's any roadkill between work and home! It's been working for me so far this month! :D

A very quiet day on the debt busting front but it's all good. Hopefully the interest will be added to the ISAs tomorrow and I can add that to our savings total. How amazing to actually have savings of any kind! What a novel concept! :D. I should also be reducing the debt at the end of this week by at least a further 1% but hopefully 2% - depends on the damage from my son's birthday present......of which I don't begrudge a single penny. Regardless, it is wonderful to see those numbers drop and keep dropping. One day, the only number I'll be interested in will be my net worth and how fast it is rising!

Sleep tight fellow DFWs - don't let the debt nightmares bite....we have it under control! :D

Glad to hear it, Alex. It seems the far south was hammered with the whole dang thing. Hope all my fellow DFWs are safe and sound.

So today is a between paydays drag kind of day! Oh well, guess there's gonna be a few of them! So it's roadkill and receipt searching time. Planning on leaving the house early and doing a sweep through A$da on my way to the station as well as on my way home - whatever it takes! :T

Wishing all my fellow DFWs a profitable day!

Surprised to net a receipt so early in the working day - very excited to get to the office and see if it will throw me a voucher!

I live as far south as you can without entering Cornwall and it was a bit of a non event. My garden chair turned over. There were a few trees down but nothing that we don't normally have to deal with during normal winds. My mum did ring me in a panic on Friday though to make sure we had duct taped the windows and anchored the shed!! :rotfl: (We hadn't obviously!!)
