Exactly C-R, and some people just enjoy the attention they get from being dysfunctional and just don't seem really interested in helping themselves. Like you say, you have to let people truly have a LBM. Otherwise, you are banging your head off a brick wall and being played along the way. Ain't no-one got time for that $**t!
I have enough things to repair in my own life without having someone drain some of my positivity for naught. Can't be chewed anymore!
Onwards and upwards! Today is going to be interesting because difficult team member returns and we have had a blissful week of peace - albeit absolutely mental work wise thanks to her leaving the vast majority of her work undone on her desk. Needless to say, this is going to be an interesting day as I have already assigned her a job she is dreading but if it takes me piecemealing her work out to her, then that's what I'll do. Very hard to motivate someone who truly wants to cause disruption no matter what and that seems to be where we're at. A chip on her shoulder about the company and so even though she has admitted things have been a lot better since I came, she seems to have now normalized those changes and is back to her destructive and unhelpful ways. Urg. When is her next vacation....?!
Meanwhile, I am looking forward to a good debt busting day! I have had a truly amazing month with the roadkill and am starting to think that the bird pooing on me was indeed lucky! I have found almost £10 this month on the streets of my town - that is amazing! I choose to believe it will continue if I continue to look so I will have my eyes peeled all day.

48p in vouchers from receipts today and I also transferred some money into our savings accounts so that has ticked up a little. Signed up for a survey site that pays in USD which might prove very helpful. Other than that, very quiet day on the debt busting front but I am definitely moving in the right direction.Credit Card Freedom gained 14 Feb 2014!!Total Debt Freedom gained 29 Apr 2014!!Savings goal 30/9/23: £72,000/£538,001.....yes I'm serious!Total Debt August 2013: [STRIKE]$21,587[/STRIKE] April 2014: $0!!!!:j0

I'll be in awe when I get close to it!
Time is going well but too fast. He is absolutely over the moon as we let him buy a secondhand GTA game and he is currently completely absorbed with it! He makes me smile! Typical teenager! Thanks for asking, TTGU. I don't get anywhere near enough time with him and so he is getting well and truly spoiled......although he was most miffed earlier when I insisted on cutting his toenails!! I don't care how big he gets, he will never be too big for me to fuss over!Credit Card Freedom gained 14 Feb 2014!!Total Debt Freedom gained 29 Apr 2014!!Savings goal 30/9/23: £72,000/£538,001.....yes I'm serious!Total Debt August 2013: [STRIKE]$21,587[/STRIKE] April 2014: $0!!!!:j0 -
Another wet and rainy day here in NY but I really don't mind so bring it on! I have a large window next to my desk and I love to look out at the rain so it's no skin off my nose.
Only today and tomorrow morning left in my work week and then I get a day and a half of quality time with my son. My niece and nephews are coming for tea tonight so that should be a riot! All in all, a good day ahead me thinks!
I am busy wrapping up my final bits of matched betting - not doing it anymore after checking my credit report and finding it took a hit thanks to every one of the bookies doing a credit check on me for money laundering and bringing my credit rating down a notch!! Ack! So, once I have bet through the money I have left in one account, and withdrawn it, I'm done. Figure I made a few hundred quid so I can't complain!

Hey HOK3Y!
Great to see things still going great guns for you. All those little pennies from vouchers do make a difference. It makes me so angry to think of all the times I've not bothered using a receipt because it only had 12p or something on it!!
Shame about the matched betting but thanks for highlighting it! I would never had thought they would credit check. Seems like you can't buy anything nowdays without being credit checked! It still infuriates me that I need to be credit checked to rent a house. Just because I'm pants with my credit card doesn't mean I can't pay rent!!!! (For info: never missed a rent payment in 10 years).
Hope you have a great time with your boy and with the nieces/nephews today. Family can always bring a smile to the face!0 -

Are you saving for anything in paticular? Or a rainy day ten years from now? :PMarch 2013 LBM so here goes....PAID OFF £6944! Unfortunately have built it all back up again! Amounts to be added up soon! Scare myself into action! 30/05/2018 LBM 20 -
Hiya wegle! Yes I am so with you but we now know that that kind of behaviour helped to get us into this mess! I won't waste pennies ever again! Thank you for the good wishes with my boy and his cousins. We are loving our time together and the cousins are completely mad so this evening should be a barrel of laughs!
Hiya TTGU! The plan is to have that much in net assets by that date. We need to buy a house but also want a healthy savings account so I am going to hit that target with everything I've got!
I have had another great day on the roadkill front - found another fiver. Plus a total of 3 pennies so far. It really has been a stupendous month for me with roadkill. Pushing £15 since October 1st. I swear that bird pooing on me definitely brought me some good luck with money!!Credit Card Freedom gained 14 Feb 2014!!Total Debt Freedom gained 29 Apr 2014!!Savings goal 30/9/23: £72,000/£538,001.....yes I'm serious!Total Debt August 2013: [STRIKE]$21,587[/STRIKE] April 2014: $0!!!!:j0 -

OMG! Sitting at the train station and it is bloomin' freezing cold this morning! Only have to work until lunchtime and then I am off for some quality time with my son. Yesterday evening was a lot of fun with my sister and her kids. Think we annoyed the neighbours sufficiently! Mr HOK3Y said he could hear us laughing from the ground floor......we live on the 2nd!!!!
Hoping for some extra roadkill today to tip me over £15 for the month. Hubby is meeting me from the train to go on a receipt hunt too.
