Had a lovely walk out with hubby and found a receipt to check and 5p. Just to prove its hard to find money in car park machines, we hit every single one we came across and found nothing so two finds yesterday in one car park is unusual!

Receipt just churned out a voucher for 48p!

Have fun and let me know how you get on. Keep an eye on the floor near the bar......quite hard as they are usually packed tight there but you will likely spot coins there when people move. X

A very wet day here in North Yorkshire but I couldn't care less because nothing can dampen my spirits today.....my son arrives this evening for a few days! Life is good! Although this may mean springing a small financial leak! I am definitely taking him to the amazing fish and chip shop in the next town and I will give him some pocket money while he is here. Just very excited to get some quality time with him.

I do have to bite the bullet and go get some hair dye today. I have not dyed it in about 5 months and it really needs it so I'm going to sort it out today. I am getting it cut on Thursday which will be the first time since January so I know I am definitely MSE with hair care! I am conscious that it is a real mess at the moment and I need to keep it in better shape, if only for the impression I leave at work.

So I'm going to throw on some clothes and walk into town about 10am. Pick up some hairdye for me and some gingerbread men for my boy who absolutely loves them......he's like his Mama!!

Yay! Your boy is coming form America? That is pretty wonderful! And you deserve to get your hair done if you haven't done it for 5 months - have some great mother and son time & we will miss you while you're entertaining him rather than us!!!!

Fish and chip shop . . . . is it bad to crave fish and chips at 9.40am on a Sunday? might pop to As4a later if I can get up there and get a small batch of supplies - think I could then last til Wednesday!!!!

Hi C-R, he lives in mainland Europe right now but is supposed to be moving to the States in the summer. This is his first time flying alone so will be a big deal for him. Cannot wait to see him!

We haven't had fish and chips in ages with our money saving kick but my son LOVES them so I will definitely take him.

Have had a lovely day with hubby - another nice long walk and even a little luxury with a trip to Costa which we haven't done in a while. Found 1p in Tescos, and 2 wombled receipts, but the best thing was finding a pristine Swarovski brooch that retailed for almost £80 when new! Funnily enough, I came right home and put it on EBay! The universe gives and I am going to accept any help whatsoever in getting myself out of this debt! Fingers crossed it sells - it will definitely help with the money leak thats coming my way this week!

Amazing roadkill find at the airport: USD 1cent coin, Euro 20cent coin, and £1.02 in GBP.......not that this made up for the daylight robbery of £8.00 in parking!!! Urgh!!

Well tomorrow is another day, another opportunity for roadkill and wombled receipts. Let's see how much money we can kick off the week with! Hope you all sleep well and don't wake up in the morning dreading heading to the office too much!!
