Hehehehe!!! I do wonder if the bloke was a bit peeved who was standing virtually on top of the 5p as I sidled up to him, waited for him to move, and then snatched it from next to his feet!!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Actually getting a little embarrassed at all my coin finds now. Found 21p under the benches in the station. Then found another 1p on my way to my appointment this evening. I think I'll stop reporting my finds for a while on the 'Make £10 a Day" challenge as I'm almost taking over the thread in my excitement! Time to turn it down a notch!

It has been a very long day and I am glad to be home with my hubby who gave me the best hug I have had in a long time when I walked in the door. He smells so good, he feels so good, and he holds me so good. I could have stood there forever! Never underestimate the value of a good man! :D

Counting my blessings tonight and wishing all of you a lovely evening with those who matter to you. Xx

Well it turned out to be a good idea to lay off reporting all my coin finds seeing as someone turned up on that thread and insinuated I lied! I didn't but there is always someone who is ready to think the worst of someone. I have definitely had a bumper few days with the roadkill.....and I definitely didn't post the 9p hubby and I found in the dark, near a shop doorway this evening! Fairly sure no-one would believe that but, you know what, it doesn't really matter if you believe me or not - my available cash balance knows the truth and I'm cool with judgement ending there! :D

On that note, hubby and I took a walk out to A$da tonight to look for receipts.......and didn't find a single one!! Win some, lose some! It was so mild out that I asked if he would like to walk through the town centre so off we went. We ended up in a lovely older, more exclusive part of the town and found 4 x 2p and a penny in amongst some paper shreds near a doorway. Hubby said he couldn't believe I spotted them. To be fair, I only saw 2 until I bobbed down and looked closer. I think that brings my total roadkill for the day to 38p?? That's a pretty darn good roadkill day and it consisted of 6 separate finds - that might be a record for me!

Anyway, loved my walk with hubby. I think we will try to do that more often on an evening. Here's to another great day of roadkill tomorrow.....although I'm not even going to attempt to top today!

  • Hi! Thanks for stopping by my diary yesterday, it was a lovely welcome to the forum.
After a read through yours, I've just subscribed to it. Your attitude is infectious, you're so positive! I actually sat and did a load of STP reviews while reading all your diary, which I usually have very limited patience for. So, thank you!

Hello Caramel! You are most welcome and thank you for stopping by. :) I am a ferocious believer in positive thinking but I do cut myself some slack for those days when I'm just downright grumpy! It happens! I just try to take each day as it comes and do something each day to make my financial situation better. Most days that ends up being found coins or wombled receipts. I have been having a bumper week for roadkill finds though but long may it continue!

So it's looking like another damp day in North Yorkshire but who the heck cares about the weather......it's Friiiiiiday!! Where has the week gone?! The only explanation is that I love my job! :D Yay! After yesterday's rather amazing roadkill day, I am hoping for a penny or two today. It really does all help. :)

Almost forgot! Today I expect to see the money hit my US account and I can make a same day transfer to the cc so I should be able to reduce my signature numbers!!! :D Could there be any better end to the week???

Wishing all my fellow DFWs love and luck for a profitable Friday!

Hope you have a good Friday and fingers crossed for a few more pennies!!

Aw thanks wegle! Even I admit that I have had a real bumper week on the coin finding and it must seem a bit OTT to everyone else so I do kinda understand the skepticism.

On that note though, 2 x 1p found in Tesco this morning! :D
