See those were the bad old days to me because I was trying to switch the other way! We were paid in dollars and it killed me financially whenever I was home with that exchange rate! Of course, now it would be awesome!

PS I'll watch the youtube when I get home......why do I have a feeling I'm going to laugh!

really enjoying your diary HOK3Y and I love your positivity. As we're knuckling down to pay things I'm constantly saying we can't afford this, that and the next thing, but my DH has pulled me up on it saying that it's our choice to knuckle down and pay the credit cards, so it's not that we can't afford things, but that we're actively choosing not to spend our money on them. Just a little turn of phrase, but he's right, I should be more positive with how I speak!

Every time I look for roadkill I'll be thinking of this thread I think! keep up the good work

Aw thank you kbarty! That's very kind of you to say. You do have to find the positive on this road so well done to you and your DH for that - it's not easy sometimes.

And yes, I am a bit of a roadkill nut! I cannot lie! Found a penny in A$da tonight tucked behind an advertising board and half wedged under the counter. Hubby couldn't believe it!

Sleep! sleep! I napped on the sofa from 8-10, shower now then back to bed! I did work 8-6.30pm today though! Poor me! :rotfl:

Omg!! Laughing! Even though that was in the UK somewhere, I can guarantee you that's happened plenty in the US! And I would bet money that someone has rolled up to a drive through bank on horseback - for sure! Heck, if you watch the people of Walmart video (hysterical and jaw dropping!) someone takes a Shetland INTO the store! I tell ya, watch the video and know our future!

Well it's an up and at 'em kind of day. I have a lot to do before I even leave the house for work and I've got to try to get there early as I need to leave early.......in other words, my morning is not going to plan! Ah well! Going to read a couple of threads, drink my tea, and then race around like a mad woman!

Will be checking my US account for the money dropping but I'm not holding my breath as it will probably be tomorrow. I hate waiting! Lots of love and luck to all my fellow DFWs.
