Hey HOK3Y!!!
I found a tenner but that's because the OH pushed it into my hand and told me to buy myself some breakfast and lunch! Thinking of hiding it and putting it towards others' Christmas pressies!!! hehe!!!
Hope you're good?

Morning
Re: the credit card issue.... would you not be accepted for another one? Could you close that and open another? That way Mr Ex wouldn't be able to use it as he wouldn't know the details.
Well done on the 20p findI haven't found any pennies in a long while

Hey HOK3Y
Great to see your positive attitude again!!
I got really into comping last year, using the forum on here. It was very time consuming but I did win a fair few things. I'd like to get back into it but just don't have the time at the moment. Our best win was tickets to legoland!!
Can't believe the audacity of your ex to charge things to your CC!!! What a t*at!!!! You're well shot of him! Can you close the account so that no new charges can be added? That's what I've done with my CC.0 -
Hi HOK3Y.....Found you!! Thank you for your positive comments in my diary, having read your diary now, I have to say you are doing brilliantly too.. keep going girl...:j:j

HOK3Y - if he's spending on your card that's criminal - I would cancel it if you can? Do you need it for anything or could you do without it?

Hello all my lovely DFW sisters! I wish the positivity was continuing but some news this evening has me seething to be fair. Hubby just had a tax bill of some kind for €3,000 scanned to him by his ex-wife......from a country that he hasn't lived in for over 3 years. This country ripped him off with taxes once before and we paid it all off. I am astounded that they have come back for more. I am absolutely livid. I don't understand how they can do this. I am so up for a fight on this one. I'm not paying it. They can come find us. We don't live there and haven't lived there since 2010. I don't see what they should be able to come back again and again demanding more tax!! Freakin' livid!!! Don't know how to calm down! If they can do this to their hearts content, there is no point working mr !!!!! off to get out of debt as they will take all the benefit. What is the point? Very disheartened tonight.Credit Card Freedom gained 14 Feb 2014!!Total Debt Freedom gained 29 Apr 2014!!Savings goal 30/9/23: £72,000/£538,001.....yes I'm serious!Total Debt August 2013: [STRIKE]$21,587[/STRIKE] April 2014: $0!!!!:j0

I say HOK3Y - try and find your ex's credit card details and spend money on his card for a change and clear this suspect 3k.
Goodness - I'm so sorry this has cropped up out of the blue but I agree - fight it, if its something to do with taxes and he was up to date when you left the country then they're just fishing - have you checked to make sure it's a proper document as well and not a scam?
I hope you get it sorted. I send you giant C-R hugs and wishes from across MSE cyberspace.

Aw bless you C-R - hugs right back atcha. X
Well, I am so damn mad about it and so damn sick of the Netherlands. Never lived anywhere I felt so ripped off by the locals and Mr HOK3Y even said to me when we paid this off last time to keep all the receipts because they would come back and increase it if they could find a way. I didn't believe him. Yeah. Should've known better. So my current thoughts on this are that he can deal with it himself and find a way to pay it off if he absolutely has to. I am dealing with everything else, considerably more debt, considerably more effort and stress on my part to clear it, I will NOT take this on my shoulders. I have more than my share but first, he needs to fight.
So, for now, I am not giving it any thought - it is in his hands and he needs to find a way to sort it. I have enough to think about for now.Credit Card Freedom gained 14 Feb 2014!!Total Debt Freedom gained 29 Apr 2014!!Savings goal 30/9/23: £72,000/£538,001.....yes I'm serious!Total Debt August 2013: [STRIKE]$21,587[/STRIKE] April 2014: $0!!!!:j0 -

I am a fountain of positivity....I am a fountain of positivity.....I am a fountain of positivity.......
Good morning my lovelies!!!!!! Well, I woke up to an empty flat this morning as hubby had to be at work early and this made me realize something that I've not consciously concluded before: I feel safe here. Whenever I have lived in a house, I have always been a little nervous about break-ins and people looking for opportunities but since moving into a 2nd floor flat, I don't even think about it. I know that flats do get broken into, but it simply doesn't cross my mind. And when I wake up in the dark, with no hubby by my side, I am not remotely jittery. What a great thing that is!So even before getting out of bed this morning, I had something to be thankful for.
I think it's going to be a good day.
Love and luck to all my fellow DFWs!!Credit Card Freedom gained 14 Feb 2014!!Total Debt Freedom gained 29 Apr 2014!!Savings goal 30/9/23: £72,000/£538,001.....yes I'm serious!Total Debt August 2013: [STRIKE]$21,587[/STRIKE] April 2014: $0!!!!:j0
