Another NSD and AF day for me, plus took lunch to work.
Happy days!0 -
Good morning.
Today should be a SFD. Hubby bought takeaway last night as he was back so late and wanted to give me a break. Going to have the restfor lunch.
Last night while waiting for OH i finally finshed the first two doors on the kitchen, pictures coming tonight. Also baked the first apple cake from the tree we planted when we moved in.
Couldn't wait this morning, parked little one in front of telly for 10 min (I know bad parenting) and hung the doors

Now I got the motivation to to the other ones a bit quicker too. Can't wait to get home. OH is playing footie tonight so tea doesn't need to be ready till 8:30 so plenty of time to get started on the next ones.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
MORNING! :j
I am a little tired today.. could have curled up in my little bed and stayed there. But alas... I jumped out and faced the day with a tabby at my heels and a cool frost in the air... seriously though my cat seems to attack at the most inopportune moments... usually as I am about to stumble half awake down the stairs...thats after she got out of my drawer..
Anyway.. today should be an non-SFD. I require a few bits and sufficiently survived without buying too much more food but am lacking vegetables... so off to Lidls we go.. although via Morrisons for avocados. Haven't had any of those yummies for ages and am missing my daily fix...
So clearly life is a little dull in NSK land... will be feeding a friend after work tomorrow so am not sure what just yet.. I think burritos might be on the cards! YUMMY!..
More later when I have something a little more interesting to say - although I am tempted to ring our payroll people and ask them how much my wages will be....:T:T:T“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0 -
Checking in for today: SFD planned, and little to derail me now. Besides that, not much to report.
Hope everybody is doing well

Anyone else liking the grey, dull, cold weather. Makes me feel all cosy inside and wanting to snuggle up on the couch with a cuppa, some chocolate and think of christmas. I think I start early with the christmas spirit this year as it always seems such a waste of resources as it only really lasts 3 daysDEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250

Oh I like that idea - to spread Christmas so it's not so much of a waste. Christmas is going to be a bit different this year anyway so I like the idea of rethinking what it means; DGM is no longer with us, so M&D are thinking of holding it down in Pembrokeshire when they have a second home. Christmas walk on the beach will be a grand new tradition I hope!
Need to start thinking of a card design too.
And I meant to say in my last post: those kitchen cabinets look amazing! So much better in white, it will look fantasic when it's done. Do you hang out on the shabby chic board?Total debt: [STRIKE]£9473.62[/STRIKE] £7,384.87 22% PAIDTAF #25 NSD 8/12 | Food £43.45/£50 | eBay 0/20 | Exercise 5/18:T Proud to be Dealing with my Debt :TDFD: June 20150 -

Thank you. They are buttermilk coloured (sorry kinda gets lost in the picture) which goes really well with the dark red tiles. Just need to white wash the magnolia walls now as that clashes (and they are sprayed with baby food and cooking grease).
No didn't know about the shabby chic board, gonna have a look.
Re longer christmas. In Germany we in only put the tree up on the 24th so I started using the british (scottish?) custom of putting it up on the 12thDEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Hi thriftylass, the first two doors look amazing on you kitchen refurb. We did ours 18months ago and it brightened up the whole kitchen. Just painted the kitchen tiles this year and it makes it feel like you have a whole new kitchen
