Ummm - I bought a Samsung tablet today. Don't Judge me!!!!

My dd has been begging for one for about a year and I had saved up for half of it so purchased online today. Of course I was MSE. Currys give an extra 5% off if you opt for free home delivery and I went through quidco for a further 1.57% cashback.

Lunch to work every day and ebay sales. Other than essentials and the above no extra spends.

Ahem.... was this a planned spend nonetheless??...

Hello all! Haven’t checked in again for a few days – sorry!

I haven’t done well on the SFDs but they have mainly beenLSDs. I am definitely going to join this challenge again in October but plan ita lot better to get more of the SFDs.

    Friday: LSD

Saturday: spendy day as I had my university reunion! Soalcohol was also involved.

I did manage a spend free day on Sunday and I turned downfree alcohol – go me :D

Spent money today on a cheapy lunch then realised I had foodin the fridge at work from last week tht would have been ok to eat. D’oh.

The best thing for me about this challenge is the way I haveshaved £100 off our shopping budget by being careful but still allowing myhusband to have treats 9he monas as the docs have told him to lay off thealcohol so he ‘needs’ something to cheer him up, he says!)

Keep going everyone, you’re all doing brilliantly.

Sounds like everyones had a successful weekend on the pennies front, only 7 more days to go!

So post getting my new flat weekend and picking up all my freebies I was struck down with what I'd like to call drunk disease today. Its real name is labrynthitis (I was half expecting David Bowie and a Muppet to pop their head round the doctors door when he told me) basically it feels like the room is spinning and you're as drunk as a skunk for a good few hours, all caused by some sort of inner ear infection (Google it, its real honest!) So that was my sfd scuppered getting my magic anti dizzywizzy pills, they have worked wonders so I can't really complain. Oh and missed a day of work which is not good as its my last week here and I'm still only 1/6 packed argh!

    Bring on tomorrow alreadt

The labrynthitis sounds horrible andrar. I remember years ago my mum having vertigo. We all thought it was funny because of the name but it was anything but! Hope the anti-dizzy pills work their magic for you.

Sorry there seem to be a few SAD sufferers on the challenge. I've never had it myself but I know the descent into winter can be depressing at the best of times so I feel for you.

Back to work today. I blinked and the weekend was over. SFD today (yay!) which are few and far between for me. Took lunch in again. In a funny kind of way it's been good to get back into my work routine after my week off. I am so much more organised food-wise when I'm working. Also I don't get the opportunity to spend!

  • hey'all! a quick one - there's so much to catch up with on here!!!! I don't have time to comment on everything going on!

Spending day today but 2 NSDs during the weekend! feel really happy with that so my levels look like this:

    SFDs: 14/18
AFDs: 21/30 - eek sorry NSK! The OH bought a 3l box of pinot grigio!! but i didn't drink any tonight when I added some to the supper!!!! :)
Exercise - walked to work and back (twice!!!)

I'll top up my money levels tomorrow - have 7 quid contingency left for spends for the rest of the month but nothing I need to buy (ATMoment!) so hoping to whack in the rest of the week as SFDs - if I can I will be soooooooooo happy!!!

have a good evening everyone! :)
