Hi everyone,
Have failed a bit on my spends but i've been very careful, mostly its been on a bit of socialising with friends going back to uni. PLus my mortgage decision still hasn't come back after 5 weeks due to several delays so stressed out a bit right now.
It was a spend day today - I needed a card for my Gran's bday so while I was there I got Dad's bday card, Dads retirement card and Sisters bday card. Plus something cute for Grnas pressie. All for £6.251% at a time challenge member #127

:j:j:j HAPPY FRIDAY everyone!!!! :j:j:j
I have managed to acquire 5 of my SFDs in a row (just checked my SS!) However, I have had to break my lovely chain with a spend day today. Which consisted of: Fuel, a lip balm- (my lips are sore and my last one run ooot) and half a cucumber to feed to my goldfish (in smaller pieces of course). She is now silver with old age but still going strong at 14 years of age!! May be the cucumber is her secret??
Stats are as follows:
SFD's- 14/18 :T
Fuel- £85.19/£80 - I have had to put an extra £5 in to cover an unaccounted for trip last weekend when I went to pick my Nan up from her house to join in with the family day at my Ma's. The 19p, however I can not justify.
Toiletries- £1/£10
Exercise- 8/12
Tomorrow shall be interesting as I head to the front line of The only way is Essex, for a bonding day with some female relations...They are very excited, however I do not watch the show so the places/ people of interest will go completely over my head!
Have a great weekend everyone!!:coffee:

Got to be the most bizarre thing I have heard all day! Amazing and Amusing! :T“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0 -

I now have officially £ 2.35 in change in my name for all of next week as I did a big shop today in Tesco. Came to 54 quid and my card got rejected. Had to put sth back to make the 51 I had left in my account. I thought without an OD they still take money and just charge you horrendously but this is so much better. No more bills to come out that could bounce either, just me and my £2.35. Told hubby that food will have to do us now I'm out. SFDs here we come, lolDEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250

Evening all.
A small spend yesterday - £2.04 on food, and £3.50 being my share of the taxi ride home from my book club meeting. My friend's husband gave us a lift there, and 4 of us shared a taxi home. I did have some beer last night too but think that will be it now until the end of the month.
I have had a SFD today.
I am going to my brother's for the weekend tomorrow so will probably have a petrol spend either tomorrow or Sunday. Not planning on spending anything else.
Have been a bit lax on the exercise front, but want to get back in to my running next week. I am hoping that the weather will be dry next week so I can walk to and from work - exercise and saving money on bus fares.
I will need to buy some food on Monday and am aiming to get some more SFDs under my belt. I know I am not going to reach 18, but this is my first month on this challenge and I realise for next month I need to organise my shopping better.
Updated totals as follows:
Food - £67.32/£100
Misc - £97.37/£120
Petrol - £32.40/£70
SFDs - 5
Have a good weekend everyone and will check in again over the weekend0 -
Struggling to find a NSD all planned but still.
Won £50 see ticket on Gaymers cider app and a comfort umbrella it is so bright ha ha.
Spend day tomorrow planned as spending time with family and shopping Sunday doing a bootsale so hope no spends. I still have over £100 in account so some thing is working and it's curbing my spending. I think I have 9 NSD and the rest are planned haven't had any random spend days like I usually do. Been planning meals around what I have in, not buying clothes or make up or shoes etc. no alcohol and about 30 mins exercise today!!All my views are just that and do not constitute legal advice in any way, shape or form.£2.00 savers club - £20.00 saved and banked (got a £2.00 pig and not counted the rest)Joined Store Cupboard Challenge]0 -
Ummm - I bought a Samsung tablet today. Don't Judge me!!!!
My dd has been begging for one for about a year and I had saved up for half of it so purchased online today. Of course I was MSE. Currys give an extra 5% off if you opt for free home delivery and I went through quidco for a further 1.57% cashback.
Lunch to work every day and ebay sales. Other than essentials and the above no extra spends.Dave Ramsey Fan[/COLOR]0 -
Haha! bublin 1 - I can't judge - I caved in and got OH GTA V from the nearest shop to get him to shut up earlier this week!!!!!! :rotfl: It was cheaper than Amazon though - and he got it on the day of release!!! (used his card though so he actually bought it! mwahaha!
I have plans for a SFD today so fingers crossed and we've got enough food for another one tomorrow - just a bit scared we might not reach 18 SFDs eeeek - I feel like there's a countdown on now for us to make it!!
Hope everyone has a great Saturday!

Hey everyone, is the sun shining where you are? It was so hot in London yesterday, I had to go to a department store toilet to change into a t-shirt I had in my bag. It was a purchase I got from a Mystery Shopping visit
Also got a nice jumper too - all free (kinda free, there's still income tax to pay on it). Managed another yoga class last night - that's 10 this month
It was all pre-paid but now I need to start paying for it, I may have to scale back. I've built 10 classes into October so I'll see how I get on.
I had to put an extra £10 petrol in the car (I've been going to evening yoga classes so I can park for free outside - cheaper, and lot easier, than getting the tube). The £10 came from my Oyster fund cos I've been using the tube less so it didn't actually cost anything extra.
Every single budget is done! 0p left! I've had a great month though with a few last minute days/nights out and I've eaten really well (lost 9lb in the process) so I consider it money well spent. I have enough food to last til Wednesday when I go on holiday so I think I can call this month a success. No alcohol and lots of SFDs
Oh, I'm getting my hair cut this afternoon - not budgeted for though so don't tell Kat!0
