Sfd are actually 12/26 somehow added that up wrongly yesterday.

Had to spend today, got air in tyres 50p, wasn't time to look around somewhere doing it free, tyre not looking too clever and naughty me tempted by choccy offers 2 giant Boosts for 1.20 thats a whooping 800 calories in total as well. Groan will I ever learn.

Lots of extra walking later to make up doubt I will burn off 400 calories though.

Quiet night in and AFD again will be teetotal at this rate 14 so far:T

  • Hello,

another SFD here too. Wanted to bring my wallet to go to the post office and send a letter to my aunt but forgot so will need to do that tomorrow, which is when I go for lunch with my old boss anyway. So a SFD saved.

Had to laugh today. Did the mysupermaket compare thingy and their downshift or replace with cheaper item suggestions are silly. If want to buy parmesan or grana pardano I do not want to use mozarella just because it's cheaper. Same with shower gel, no I don't want to wash myself everyday in bubble bath. Oh and the list goes on....

  • Thrifty I wash with soap all over.... 11p a bar in Tesco... you come all leathery just like a car tyre! Hhhhmmmmmmmmmm sexy!!! Lol!!! I am going to try that button - never seen it on MySupermarket. Maybe it's obsolete once they realise that what I have in my basket can't get any lower.....teehee!!!

....Mr Cobes....I laughed out loud in my office when I read your comment. :T:T:T... I am sorry though if it gave you a mild heart-attack... we girls just witter on sometimes...

Calling14 - someone has a birthday in our office today... 2 donuts and copious chocolate crispie things and I think that 20 minutes of interval training in the gym last night has effectively been cancelled out ...

..........yes I know only 20 minutes... slowly slowly catchy monkey....:(..expecially since I had to have a 3 hour catnap first and ended up at the gym at 2000..

LSD ..I am glad you can run. I can't.. damaged my knee ages ago which is really annoying as it was the one exercise that would get me fit really quickly....although the sunroof exist made me guffaw...:rotfl:

Cottage_Retreatist.. I am glad you busted that smoking habit first though... I have been the same regarding money making / saving that I am too tired to stay awake when I get home from work never mind think about the gym.. hence the nap first yesterdya...:).. but we will get there in the end......slowly slowly....

Andrar if I ever managed to live on my own or have my own house EVERYTHING will be FREE. I intend to have whopping great finds like a stand alone bath from a scrap yard, a fully perfect three piece suite that someone will just give me and so forth... I also live in cloud cuckoo land apparently... but well done for being fugal...

Fmess I feel your pain... I just need to get back into the flow of things BEFORE my DFD at the end of Decemeber as there is nothing worse than having an exercise "resolution" in January.. I want to be well on my way to fat freedom by then.... my obsession however will see me in the gym 4 times a week, eating a lot better than I am now and probably being a little anti-social...:)

LAGL - you may notice should you wish to attempt your own taste test that the base of the more expensive jaffa cake is a little thicker and spongier... although a less spongy base does not defer from the taste of the cheaper jaffa cake which are just as yummy. I should now. I ate a lot of them!..:rotfl:

Right I have some [STRIKE]travel websites to read[/STRIKE] work to do...:rotfl::rotfl:

That was ASDAs own brand shower gel already :rotfl: (49p) and they should have just offered Tesco value for 30p rather than a different product. So I usually just do the comparison manually for each product and now got a list of what is where cheapest (obv. needs regular updating). I guess hubby might not be too impressed with 11p bar of soap and my leathery feel. But I am already using tricks like using Tesco value shampoo (40p/l) with a drop of value shower gel to thicken it in the handwash dispensers rather than even just tesco own brand handwash (80p/l). Luckily they changed a lot of packaging to make it look more appealing so I can sneak them in without hubby complaining.

  • Oh Mr Cobes You do make me chortle!

LAGL -What a great thing for the family to do together!! 5 of the geocaches I found were micro sized (so just the log paper), but I did find one 'small' geocach with lil toys in. I had forgotten to pack any little goodies to put in there so did not take anything. I will certainly be more prepared next time! Glad I also happened to have a pair of tweezers on me as well as a couple of the log papers were difficult to get out!

    Day 17

Hi all....First congrats to the Dragons on the Baby Dragon..:D

For those that did, I am glad that you enjoyed my little lighthearted posting...:)
    Another NSD...No Alcohol...but..as I have 12 with 13 days left
= 25..so failed my own target already..:o..not bad tho'..If I had 5 AFD I would have been pleased before these challenges.

cottage_retreatist, yes I did enjoy the days away Thank you...some days got up to 13 degrees and the wind settled down to just raw on the Wednesday....
    I was in a large caravan..3 bedrooms and a gas fire..very posh..
I used to leave the gas fire on during the night..bedroom radiator on all day..so after a night of Capn' Morgan spiced Rum and Lime..curtains pulled..you could have been in the Caribbean, More so as I thought that the steel band was very good..:T. However I realised after a couple of days it was the Calor Gas compound opposite dropping the cylinders..from 7 am ...quite melodic with the patois'...:D

The Museum in a square along the front seemed a bit fake tho'..seemed to sell modern clothing, again appearing to be a little skimpy...with it's display of medieval torture instruments...I spoke to a, I believe to be a tour guide, about the apparent newness of the said items...I am sure she did not understand me as she shook her head and walked away....
I am not taken in so easily..the leather did not look medieval.Stainless Steel..I think not....;)

    NSK...Laughing in work...is that allowed :D:D

    Keep warm chums !!

Yes - it is good! :j I seem to have loads more energy nowadays - or at least when I'm awake I'm much more on the ball - because I can just as easily nap! Like today - day off work - only thing I did was a few errands and go to the market - then slept on the sofa for 4 HOURS!!!

I had big plans for a roast chicken dinner and to make a quiche - instead OH got bolognese from the freezer! :rotfl: oh well!!!! There's always tomorrow!!

I've been getting quite a few free gym trials at the mo so I think I might try and do as many as possible with as many different gyms as I can to get myself back into exercise and then either work out at home with ladymay's videos or take out a subscription - whichever I think will force me into doing the exercise!!

Did our final spends for the month today pretty much - too much to calculate right now but I'll come back with my numbers tomorrow - which is going to be a NSD at home baking! Yay!!

LSD - wish I could do running but anything past 200 meters and I can't be permitted to continue for the sake of humanity - my red blotchy face and huffing can cause too much panic and horror! :rotfl:

mr cobes - I love a bit of captain morgans with coke! ah brings back the memories!!!! I've never heard of such a fancy caravan! Was it one of those american style ones? a winnebego? :) Whenever I think of caravans all I see are the guys from topgear destroying them in ridiculous ways!!

PS - took the plunge - OH has been playing GTA V since i bought it him at midday - think I've lost him to electronics for the foreseeable future!!!

  • Oh I'd love to have a caravan holiday some day.

Re no smoking, now that Im pregnant i miss it again and a drink. Just as little reward to unwind after a long day or week. Now i just sleep, work, take care of DS, do the chores and gi back to bed. Every day. I know I shouldnt miss it, but seeing OH still being able to indulge make me jealous and reminiscent of the carefree days. Oh well, probably just hormonal, lol.

On a different note, made a nice takeaway style anniversary dinner tonight. Smoked chicken (HM), deep fried chicken wings, fried veg rice and tomatoes with mozarella and basil for token healthy part of the meal ;)
