Afternoon all - well a nice weekend although DH had to work some of it which was a shame. Have sorted DS school trouser situation - now that was a learning curve for next year. We all had 3 course lunch at Ask on saturday for £11.70 (thanks to tesco boost rewards or whatever its now called) yummy and made the trip to town more fun!
That with ironing and homework and suddenly it was monday morning again!
Congratulations LSDragon on you new wee dragon!! Loveadove - my DH is a geocaching nut - can often be found loitering with intent when we go somewhere different - he's got the kids hooked on it too now esp the ones where you leave something and take something!
Kat - sounds like your day was ace - although I am intrigued by the need for a squish test on Jaffa cakes!
Right work to do, love to all LAGL xxDebt free on the 28/05/130 -

Day 16
I returned from Blackpool on a great 5 days trip...
Managed to smash my food budget wonderfully...took lots of home cooked ready meals with me , (so no fish and chip suppers, no nights in the bar.) Checked the figures three times..yep well over !
So I am £20 under my holiday fund...cash in the incidentals pot..not quite as clever as I thought I was..so plenty of food in...Hatches duly battened..
Head down for rest of this month !!..
See lots of babes announcements...I have not read all yet, 7 days catching up to do..so congrats to all those that deserve them XX0 -
Kat I am exactly the same, get obsessed with one thing and can't focus on anything else. Unfortunately, I have gained nearly 3 stone in the last 4 years and my diet/exercise plans have never lasted long enough due to me becoming distracted with another obsession. At the moment I'm obsessed with debt busting but as I'm in it for the long haul I'm going to have to figure out a way to debt bust and fat bust simultaneously!LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

LoveADove First this...
I have just up-cycled an old dress for my friend's wedding on Saturday. Just stitched the straps so that it sits more respectfully on my chest! And have also brought the front up a little with a corsage to show a cheeky bit of leg.
NSK...Was next..
I used to be all muscle with a 19% bodyfat for those that care......You can't see the gain per se but I can.... I have no tummy over-hang etc but my jeans are very very very uncomfortably tight
As a Gentlemen of more mature years the mere glimpse of a finely turned ankle is enough to make my moustache tremble....
Should such posts carry a 'Please sit down' warning to enable me to sit down first in a high backed chair ? They fair made me blush ladies !
However..I do feel I need to experience such conversations...so please carry on ..0 -
Haha Mr Cobes! Your moustache will get a curl at this rate!
SFD today, I'm motoring this month. Think my imminent move and want of furniture has focused me. I picked up a coffee table, bedside table, hoover, TV stand and bin today from a workmate who's just moved house and seems to have two of everything - total cost £10! Well chuffed - its out of my flat budget so all covered yay! And didn't have to pay today so didn't ruin my SFD.
Spending the night on freecycle tonight to try and see what else I can get pre move. Its a good job I love things that don't match.0 -
Just fixed my bike up and it's now actually save to use and has working brake. Got all sentimental as it reminded me of my childhood where i spend hours in the cellar or back yard fixing or cleaning my bike. Well the cleaning bit i still have to do.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250

Mr Cobes!!! very funny!! :rotfl: Maybe now is not the time to agree to the fact that I too am focusing too much on debt-busting and too little on podge-busting!! So much so - money may need to be spent next month to accommodate my quite-literal bursting out of my clothing!
BTW - the trip sounds like a veritable success! Hope the weather was OK for you up norf?
I think the main reason for me putting on weight was getting depressed over the amount of debt we had (the lead-up to my LBM) which led to me binge eating when we had money (usually on salt and sugar) because my mind was focused on the idea that soon we would have none so I had to 'hamster' away as much as possible while I could!! Now we're on track, and now I've beaten smoking my next venture is to battle the bulge!
Other than that - a SFD and I can update my signature! yay! :j
also AFD, also exercise -went out with hubs for a walk in the hail earlier today!!!!
Market tomorrow so spends will be necessarybut I will be shopping wisely and making a list!
Hugs to everyone xxDebts @ LBM (May 2013): £25,250.27 | Debt Free: May 2015 :j:j0 -
No news really was as expected i.e. budgeted spends plus about an hour's exercise. I am making a snood and then a blanket to keep warm in the winter. I don't want to spend too much on fuel bills.
Took lunch again not bought lunch once. Am pleased still have about £200 in my account whereas I'd have less then a hundred now!, whoop whoop! All my views are just that and do not constitute legal advice in any way, shape or form.£2.00 savers club - £20.00 saved and banked (got a £2.00 pig and not counted the rest)Joined Store Cupboard Challenge]0 -
Thank u for your lovely messages, baby dragon is very lovely
Im still lurking, and we're still within budget, dh is doing the food shopping whilst im out of action, and will only buy what he has on his list. The only problem is that he doesnt plan ahead, if the butter is running out tomorrow then he'll go to the shop again tomorrow, so thats one less sfd.
Afds - well ive had as many of these days as we are days through the month. Baby dragon wouldnt appreciate it in his milk i dont think!
Exercise - total no go atm due to sunroof exit taken by baby. Cant wait to get my trainers on though soon! Kat - i did see a bit of the insanity on teleshopping, didnt stick around for the price though. Luckily i enjoy running and its so great for fat burning so no pricey gym fees for me :money:
Well done everyone on how well youre doing :T:T
Oh forgot to say mr.Cobes youre comment made me :rotfl:Still here..... but working on that!0 -
