Oh no, I just realised it's my mum's birthday in 3.5 weeks and I've got nothing to send over yet as I've been too busy planning christmas pressies (can't use one of them as they are all for mum and dad together). Better get my thrifty thinking cap on.
Today should be another SFD unless I find sth online for her.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Hey peeps - thanks for the good wishes - the house is definately sold stc now. Such is life - Not sure if I mentioned but the estate agent office we were using and that middle earth was under is closing -the girls that were marketing ours I think are facing redundancy - one has just bought her first home and getting married next year - kinda puts perspective on our situation so hard to feel too sorry for myself.
I may however have broken the no alcohol rule - you cant go to france with a car and not come back with a few bottles of wine - it would be immoralAnyway we opened one last night - I think under the circumstances it's justified - pretty please Kat!?
Right work to do - DS still loving school - he booked shepherds pie for lunch - going to be interesting due to his hatred of potatoes - the teacher has been warned - I wished her luck!
Love to all,

2 sfd's for yesterday and today (DS1 had his hair cut on weds but I'd taken the money out for it when I got DS2 school dinner money, so counting yesterday as a sfd)
Although my spends are still fairly low I feel really disappointed with the amount of spends I've had so far but it just seems to be one thing after another ~ I'll keep trying though!0 -
That's mum's birthday sorted. Found a book (in German) telling stories from the local history where they live on Am@zon and used my survey voucher so still a SFD. Just need to make DS draw sth and make a card.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250

Hello S-Steppers,
Here are my totals:
Fuel: 75/225. Planned fill up tomorrow as we're off up North for the weekend.
Food: 40.73/150.
SFDs: 8/18. spend day today and more than likely Saturday. Should be SFDs on Fri & Sun.
AFDs: 28/28. That's my run of them before Tough Mudder completed! Had my first drink on Saturday at the end of the race. Then a few afterwards at the celebratory meal. I'm not a big drinker these days but its a busy month so I don't doubt I'll be drinking during the rest of the month.
Exercise: 9hours so far. Not that much for me. I had to have a restful week prior to TM. But back in the gym again now on a new programme
Cash generating: 250/600. Two items on e.Bay. More apps booked for my 2nd job so hopefully I'll hit that target.
Plans for the next 10days- Work tomorrow then going up to the NE for our wedding anniversary weekend on Fri til Sunday. Diving Sunday. Back Sunday evening. Job interview Monday morning (argh!). Then to N.Ireland Tues til Sunday!

Hi guys and gals!
So after the conversation with my boss, I emailed her telling her exactly what the client and yesterday I got an email back saying thanks and could I work that afternoon? I assume that means everything's sorted!
Anyway, day off today, did some baking, did a workout, reviewed it, now a friend is over using my sewing machine and eating the biscuits I made. Lovely day, and a sfd at that!

Quick check-in from me.
I had a spend day yesterday, the intention was to get some garlic capsules (to ward off germs). A colleague spent the night coughing (she shouldn't have been at work, but had already had a week off and we don't get paid sick pay if we don't work!) in to her hands. Midway through the night decided to inspect the ingredients of my flavoured sparkling water, by caressing my water bottle. She read out the ingredients telling me her partner couldn't consume the water due to his various allergies, she kindly handled the top and neck of the bottle with her pathogen-laden hands (we do wear gloves with patients this was in some down time). Needless to say I didn't drink any further from the half-full bottle and treated it as radioactive matter, what a waste!
I forgot the garlic capsules, I must get them as can't afford to be ill. I am working tonight, and tomorrow is extra shift number 4, 4 still to go.
Yesterday I bought a brolly for £4, I can see this is already a false economy, it is very light weight and will turn inside out at the first hint of wind. I should have bought the £8 one I saw in Sainsbury's, let's see how long it lasts.
I also bought 3 slow cooker books from The Works, one was £3.99, but when I checked my receipt at home, it had scanned at £1.99, when I checked on Amazon it was £6.47. Another book was £3.99, on Amazon it was £7.19, so that's a saving of £8.68! I always thought A was cheap and would have been happy to pay those online prices, I will definitely shop around other book outlets now.
I'm still eating the value food, and it's ok.
It's only the 12th!Debt-Free day 30th September 20140 -
Hello Hello, I'm still here. Just been super busy working (what's new!?). Mostly spend free since I last checked in, but I had a lovely catch up with a friend on Tuesday night and we shared a meal rather than having one each :money: I also bought a smoothie (probably my fave way of spending money at the minute!). I don't know if any of you Londoners know of Wild Juicery in Covent Garden? They're celebrating their first birthday and are doing a 14 day smoothie extravaganza where they invent a smoothie of the day. For the first few days I made them at home for breakfast, but day 4 (Tuesday, my spend day) saw me a) leave home early before they announced the recipe and b) not have a few of the ingredients so I treated myself to one made there (gotta say, the Vitamix blender they use is waaay better than my little hand held cheapo!). It was goji berri and hempseed - utterly delicious! Moneysaving or not, if you ever find yourself in Covent Garden I would urge you to try these guys out - it's all good stuff!
So, my petrol budget is gone (I still have half a tank so that should be alright), my food budget has only enough left for fresh fruit/veg top ups til the end of the month, and my misc budget took a small bashing with my smoothie/shared meal on Tuesday. Catching up with another friend on Sunday after yoga so I'll try not to spend again til then (although I'm working in London on Saturday and have to pass through Covent Garden so I fear the magnetic powers of Wild Juicery will see me dip into my misc budget one more time)
Enjoy your evening everyone0 -
Hello all!
Nearly Friday- crunchies at the ready!!
Hope you have all had a good week so far! I have been doing a spot of house sitting, cat sitting and baby sitting around my working hours this week, so was pleased to come home to my own house today! All for free- should really start charging! Although I did get free meals and enjoyed it so shouldn't complain!
I have donated £5 to the Motor Neuron Disease Association as part of the funds raised by my friend who cycled 59 miles in memory of her Dad- who died last year from it after many years of battling the condition. This will replace my £3 Food bank donation for the month.
My stats for the month are as follows:
8/18 SFD's
4/12 Exercise
£40.18/ £80- Fuel
£5/£5- Charity Donation
£0/£10 Toiletries
