Night night
How many weeks are u now? After 14 weeks i started getting back to myself, and felt full of energy.
At 39 weeks i'm back to feeling rubbish again, but at least i havent got long left!
Just realised i had a proper moan earlier, and wanted to pop back with my positives:
1.I have enough meals to last 2 months in the freezer
2.both cars are full of petrol
3.I have enough toiletries clean and moisturise Wales and most of England
4.Alcohol wont be a problem as i'm pregnant, and when im not i wont want to drink with a newborn
5.did as much walking as i could manage today, but raring to get back into running after baby pops outuntil then I'll walk....
6.sfd's should be easy as i wont need to shop for food etc, except fresh bits, need to plan these tomorrow if i'm going to suceed.
Ah that's better....... Sept might be ok after all.Still here..... but working on that!0 -

Great to see everyone checking in, isn't it??:D

Very pleased. Slightly odd selection of vegetable odds and ends with our lamb roast from the freezer as a result of not buying anything but all good.
We also decluttered quite a bit and have 15 items on Fleabay..pretty determined so far!

Hello all!!
August has been the most expensive month of this year so far!
I cannot even face counting up the receipts I got in my purse!
The last time I posted here was when my family and I were going to explore Scotland! I did stick to the budget! Though, I have been twice to London, we've just got back from our week holiday there and it was so expensive!
I honestly feel very sick! My old habit of wasting I feel is residing in me again! I feel I am loosing the power! I need you all!
I know I got the power, and the will to succeed!
If you can ninjakat, do please count me in for this month's challenge!
Regards! Hugs to all!No debts 🙌0 -
So then... check you lot out! There are LOADS of you! I think there is a distinct fear factor that reigns when the word CHRISTMAS is used! Ha! SO glad so many are wanting to get a grip on their finances and start changing their lives...
Forgive me from the off when I use capital lettering. The oldies will know its purely for emphasis as a friendly shoulder shake rather than blow your ears off screaming fit...:rotfl:
I guess you have been super busy then eh? My day has consisted of baking and cooking up a storm. I am determined to stick to my own rules..:) so managed to get banana and raison bread rolls created, chilli beans to cover the next 5 days and I got all experimental and pressed some firm tofu and baked it covered in a panko crispie coating with cayenne pepper. Then ate the lot...:rotfl:
SFD in the bag and no plans to spend money tomorrow either. I suspect my Pepsi Max habit might hit hard this month so I need to plan a purchase that will balance out better than 70p from the work vending machine... oooh I love a good MySupermarket session....:p
So I will try and comment on everyones activities as best I can but I will apologise now when I miss a question here and there....and birthdays and such like but I do read all posts to keep a check on you all.
Alcohol = there seems to be a lot of "I will just do this, will just go here and such like". If you have alcohol in the house then drink it... if you are going to a party and have to buy a drink then fine - but leave it at one... those doing mad crazy fitness journeys then fair enough you've paid your dues ... but the idea is to steer clear of purchases you don't technically need (although who said they had 5 kids under 9years old or something equally as horrific...).. as alcohol is not a "need" its a want... and its only one month...perhaps I should give up Pepsi Max in order to feel your pain... okay I will....:p:p:p
Now since you have all posted your budgets - this is mine...
Food = £100
Misc = £30
Leaving Do = £15
Cinema = £15.90
Gym = £34.50
My food will hopefully drop in around £80.
Misc includes an outing last night (whoops) and necessary evils throughout the month - which hopefully will be none..:)
The leaving do - I have to go. No way out of that. 4 course meal fr £8 can't be bad.
Cinema - the only glimpse of a life I have.
Gym - I'm getting fat. Simples.
Right heres for an epic month ahead...........

Gretchen this is fine- the more you donate the better. If anyone else wants to do this then please do just make sure it's all in date and useful... they have a "most wanted" list that you can check out on most food bank web pages..“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. :hello:
Check in numero uno... Spending was all done yesterday, but with this month's money so it still counts:
Food £6.10/£100
Toiletries £1.78/£10
Might well need toothpaste and face moisturiser before the month is out, but should still come in under £10 if I'm careful!
Off to write my actual food shopping list for tomorrow, deep joy.“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.”

I need a pot of £2900 savings for the end of November but I'd like to get this sorted for the end of October (which is a bit of an epic challenge)
This is really intriguing... what's the game plan... you have precisely 60 days left! I wanna know how you are planning to do this.. :T:T:T“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. OK a late check-in from me.
SFD - 0/18
Groceries - £38.51/£250
Alcohol-Free - 1/26 (2 parties and a holiday)
Exercise - 0/12
Packed Lunch 1/16 (On hols part of month)
Food Bank - 0/3
Had to work todaybut took lunch. DH did grocery shop so not a SFD but he kept to the list so that is good. No alcohol today but no exercise either.
Interesting evening meal. Salad, cous cous and battered courgette fritters. We have loads of courgettes so we tried something a bit different. They were ok but now I feel hungry and will need something before bed or I know I'll wake up.
Right, must go and pack up tomorrow's lunch.Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90
