I sent off my claim form about six weeks ago, and my husband's five weeks ago. We each received a cheque today - total amount £270, so are very happy. This is us tonight:

I'm the same! Can't remember why I took it out as it was so long ago and no longer have an paperwork relating to it due to splitting up with my ex and being unable to return to the property. HELP PLEASE ANYONE?? NONE OF THE TEMPLATES NECESSARILY APPLY!
  • I hope this helps, read the template statements.

What if none of the templates apply? What then? I can't remember when my policy started but I reckon it was with my HSBC credit card which I got in 2000 so I have no idea how it was sold to me although I do recall thinking it was part of the credit card.

Any help on what to do if I can't remember?

... And we thought it didn't apply to us as we are so careful what we buy. Used the template. Easy and quick. Thank you MSE

The CPP redress scheme is paying people back that were mis- sold Card and identity protection products In 2005 and later. However if you believe you were mis-sold before this date, you could phone and speak to your bank.

    Hi all

For those that had their cheques, how many days gap was there between the date of the letter and the date you received it?

I phoned up CPP last Thursday (17th) and they said a letter has been issued to me. I have still not received it. OK, we had two extra post free dates since then but even if it was send on last Wednesday, I should have received it now.

Should I ring up if I don't get it by Monday 28th?

  • The cheque came with the letter!
  • I had a CPP policy for a few years but cancelled it ages ago (when I realised that I was only liable for the first £50) and had no records to check so I was surprised to receive a letter saying I was eligible to claim. I went ahead and followed the advice and today received a letter with a cheque for £61, representing £40 premiums paid since 2005 plus compound interest. I'm very happy with that especially as I didn't have to search for the payment details myself.
