The Lidl 'Fin Carre' chocolate is okay, well actually very nice i think, and you can cook with it unlike that shi t that Sainsburys sell that granulates at the merest hint of heat near it....

Yep, you must be! When we went to the States for our honeymoon, we brought large bags back for the kids. We hadn't tasted them. Everybody was in agreement that they tasted like chocolate vom! They got binned.

I bought some princes tuna in basil (cheap from B+M, I aint paying full price!) and it was really disappointing - it was in oil, which just drowned out the basil taste anyway.

SoBe mango and something V-water in a bottle - left my mouth feeling like it was COATED in sugar and my bf felt the same. It didn't have sugar, so must be an after taste from the sweetener they use. The before taste wasn't that great either.

Yes, it was ginger and mango......absolutely rank, got it from the cinema in Burnley, what a waste of £2.

Have you tried the quilted toilet roll from B&M stores which is £2.99 for 18? This is my weapon of choice - really impressed with it and a pack lasts forever.

The nicky one from farmfoods is great, 18 rolls for £4. I like good toilet roll, all my family use it and never complain. Slightly more expensive then the B&M one, will invest in that when I am next there.

Hershey's is vile I agree, but Ghirardelli's is yummy-
especially the dark raspberry squares! I always bring a bagful back when I go to the USA.

I do love Moser Roth from Aldi in between though!

I am going in a couple of weeks any more recommendations of things to buy and do most places sell Ghirardelli's?

Because it's so thick, you don't need to use as much. For instance, one sheet is more than enough for a wee. ;)

Tried one of those types once, never again, was like thick kitchen paper and subsequently blocked the loo.

Waitrose own brand now, fairly big rolls for the money.

"the one" milk is 1% and tastes fine in tea to me, same as sainsburys 1% and I can't tell the diff from semi skimmed. I can't stand skimmed milk at all so this is a good compromise, semi skimmed is 4% fat. I suppose its all a matter of personal taste.

Semi skimmed is 1.5-1.8% fat. Around 4% is whole milk

Scented candles can be hit and miss as well. Either they smell until lit and then don't, pong the entire place out for hours and smell like the worst air freshener ever or they smell lovely until blown out at which point you just get burnt wick smell.
