Have you ever been really disappointed with things you've bought and thought 'No, I won't be buying that again' - almost every shop I try a few new things and there are always disappointments e.g. some supermarkets do better versions than others and that kind of thing.

Princes Tuna Chunks, (on special at Sains) awful awful! Am going to write to them to complain.

I agree with both these - the Princes tuna is utterly vile, and the maryland gooies tasted really artifical.

I prefer the tinned tuna steaks to the chunks, they generally cost a bit more but seem to go further. However, Sainsbury's tuna steaks in olive oil are just £4 for 4 x 200g tins at the moment, the same price as the chunks.

Maryland make cheap, sugary, damp-tasting nasty biscuits full stop.

Bit of a grand sweeping statement there, methinks.

    Any examples?

Anything Cadbury's for starters. Cadbury's Dairy Milk tastes like sweet mud. Wispa has got that overcooked chocolate taste quite often.
Then there's Galaxy which must be at least 60% sugar. And not forgetting ghastly Thorntons. You'll find better chocolate in Lidl.

My grandfather was a chocolatier though so I've had a lot of good chocolate.

Strangely enough, I think the crummy milk chocolate from Lidl cured me of what I thought was a chocolate addiction. For me, Cadburys still has the taste of nostalgia :o

I bought some princes tuna in basil (cheap from B+M, I aint paying full price!) and it was really disappointing - it was in oil, which just drowned out the basil taste anyway.

SoBe mango and something V-water in a bottle - left my mouth feeling like it was COATED in sugar and my bf felt the same. It didn't have sugar, so must be an after taste from the sweetener they use. The before taste wasn't that great either.
