:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

you could also get a swimming cap or goggles.

  • I've wrapped it up but I'm not too happy with the finish, luckily I have a few days to think again & re-do:

Once again, all my inspiration came from you guys so thanks again, I'm sure Mum will be delighted! :D

    Hi Hezzawithkids.

You could add on more of the curly wurly ribbons or just get one large ribbon.

    Great job:T

    Hi,
Just wondering whether anyone has ideas for a swimming hamper? All I can think of is a towel with name on it (I am ok at sewing) limited budget as secret Santa!

    Thanks

If your budget can stretch to it then some anti-fog spray is a godsend for serious swimmers. e.g.:

What about a small pot of shampoo for washing the chlorine out of the swimmers hair after swimming.

Re- The Zombie hamper. There wer Zombie dvds in Poundland prior to Halloween so worth having a look there, as well as reduced sweets in the Halloween aisles. HB had a box of 4 alcoholic shots called Zombie shots, can't remember exact price but a couple of pounds. I saw them yesterday.
  • Okay, so I'm doing two of those hot choc & mug gifts for two of my friends at work. The plan is to keep it under £5.

So far I've got the mugs, 4 sachets each of hot choc, 2 cute key rings and I'm splitting some Quality Street sweets (they love the sweets) between the two pressies.

I don't know why but I'm feeling like I'm missing something......to give it an extra omph :o. I did decide to skip the whisk and the marshmallows so I don't know what is wrong.....any ideas??. Thanks

So here is an update on my mug gifts I was inspired by this thread to attempt.
The choc stirrers are a fab idea but not something my recipients would appreciate, apparently.....in a conversation we were having, I casually mentioned it and their reactions was not great :o oh well!!!
so....now I'm torn between a flannel cupcake (which I really want to try to do....I've read the instructions and practiced a few times already :D) or adding on some biscuits (to make it even more special, I'm thinking of bagging it in cellophane).
I can do one of the ideas, not both, if I'm to stick with my under a fiver budget .....which should I go for?
