Hi all,
A quick question for you all if I may...
I want to make up some mugs as xmas presents but I'm not sure which size of cello bags would be best for a 'normal' sized mug. Anyone have any advice/experience?
Thanks,
Kevin x
Last year in poundland I bought some clear bags with Christmas patterns on-ribbon included. They were packs of 20 and had snow designs or gingerbread men, I think. This was last year, though! I've not seen them in there this year, but it may be too early. They might bring out more Christmas stock after Halloween. These will fit a normal mug. Also ikea might have something. Again last year they had small paper bags with father Christmas on. These fitted a tumbler easily, so I would think a mug would fit too. http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/categories/seasonal/winter_holidays/10773/Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Hi ya!!
I have a moral question.....is it okay to give a store bought cake to your mam when she bakes you one herself every year?
She mentioned it last year that no one ever gives her cake for Christmas but I don't know if I'm up to the challenge ........(and please believe me when I say I'm challenged when it comes to baking,it would be far easier if you were to ask me to go mountain climbing :rotfl:)
I'm thinking since she didn't say anything about homemade,......weellllll...:D0 -

Have you tried a packet mix? Even I can manage to do one of those. Buy a value sponge mix and have a practice. That way you've not lost much if it doesn't work out. I think it'll mean a lot more to both of you if you made one. If you really can't make one, buy one, but tell her you did try and make it yourself, but it didn't work out. You'll only feel guilty otherwise...:)Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

I think that waitrose do a christmas cake kit, could be worth a try I'm not sure about the other supermarkets but its worth looking in the next few weeks as more christmas bits come out, with the instructions it should be quite easy and a nice sentiment0 -
Is it a christmas cake or any cake?
I kow you say you are cake challenged but I made this Aldi convenient christmas cake . There are only a few ingredients and is christmassy without being OTT as it used a jar of mincemeat. Its very nice!! ( I didn't bother adding the zest.)
I'm sure if your mum knows you can't cook that the effort will be appreciated0 -

The items - free (from various gift sets I received a while back):rotfl:
I am so stoked
I intend to get a toffee pack to go with this present nearer to Christmas and as I would be seeing the receiver on Christmas day, I decided not to wrap in tissues to hide the gift.
I think its lovely :TI Love My Computer Because My Friends Live In It0 -

I couldn't find any cello bags in £land
Does anyone else know where else on the high street I could get some? I don't mind ordering some in the long term but I'd like some to try out some ideas before I buy loads
Thanks,

As I said before, it may well be too early. Give it a couple of weeks and have another look. Or if you can't wait, try eBay. Wedding shops and hobby/craft places will probably sell them, but they will be expensive.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27
